People need to realize that the Warriors were a 47 wins team and 51 wins team 2-3 seasons ago. They get some stroke of luck in the past 2 seasons and had a run of their own, but all these will end after this playoffs. After losing WCF, the Warriors will be back to where they belong, a 50 wins team that is at best a 2nd round exit.

Actually you can, the Warriors just had a longer stroke of luck than most teams whose runs usually lasted no more than a full season. The Warriors had their luck from the beginning of 2014-2015 season to the end of regular season 2015-2016, its about time they finally lose it. Its just kinda bad for them that their luck runs out in this playoffs, and of course starting by next season they will be back to mediocrity, like Mark Jackson's Warriors from 2013-2014.

they lucked into exceptional healthiness and played some battered teams last season.

you need luck to win a chip though.

They had quite a few games they could have easily lost while 96 Bulls lost their last two games by a combined 2 points

There's some luck in hitting a half-court game-winner like Steph did against OKC

If it was any other player i would agree with you. But we are talking about Steph Curry here..aint no luck in that shot. You can make a 10 minute montage of him hitting that same shot or even farther in the last 2 seasons combined

OKC is the first real contending team they've faced in two years.

Uh literally every shot anyone ever takes has a bit of luck involved. Even moreso for a shot from that far out.

The way I see it, spurs would have tested gsw and no one would have been surprised if it went 7. Okc went thru spurs playin great. I don't think okc will beat gsw but they have my attention. I think they are having a growth spurt. Westbrook droppin dimes... I'd be happy to see okc win tbh. Would suck for gsw tho.

Just being honest.

The 73 wins will mean jack shit without a title.

They're not the GOAT team...not even close.

All going for that record did was hurt them.

Remember that less than a month ago Curry suffered a tear to his MCL. He is not 100% healthy.

Warriors would've never won a championship if Lebron would've stayed in Miami.

Yeah, I totally agree. Like I have repeated earlier, people are quick to forget that the Warriors were a mere 47-51 wins team 2 years ago under Mark Jackson. They didnt bring in any significant helpers during the offseason, and they didnt return anyone from serious injuries, and all of a sudden the record improved from 51 wins to 67 wins. To me, the Warriors surge was a fluke, a team that got incredibly lucky and overachieved. Now they are back to the earth, and after losing WCF they will be back to mediocrity, a 50 wins team with 2nd round as its ceiling.

From what I have seen online, the 01 Lakers are way more overrated. Beating the mental case Blazers, the Kings without Bibby, and that weak Sixer team isn't anything to write home about.
