Where does he rank if he pulls this series off while playing at the level he is right now?

Would you have him jumping any notable players?

Doesn't mean anything without the chip or he will just become another Charles Barkley.

Beating the greatest Spurs team ever and the greatest team ever in back 2 back series would be the greatest achievement in basketball history, even if they don't win the ring.

With the ring it's hard not to say he's automatically top 5 all-time with what would be the greatest championship run in sports history. It would erase all the prior notions that Durant can't win it all, and would prove the only reason it took this long is because of injuries to key players the last 3 years while also having an incompetent head coach, which is what I and many others have been saying for many years.

Durant never relinquished his best in the world status. The whole curry hype train was a joke to begin with... kid hasn't proven a thing except that he can stat-pad on a historically great team in the regular season. Sorry losers, but you were all wrong.

I understand the elation especially when OKC has nothing but basketball but don't get too carried away. The Spurs and Warriors got fat on weak competition. There's always one of those teams every year like there was with KG rondo and the Celtics years ago. However, to have 2 of those teams is rare and testament to how weak the league is. There was only 1 good team in the east and about 3-4 in the west...weak league. Most years, teams like Memphis Dallas Houston wouldn't even make the postseason.

Nothing matters without the rings. Thats the bottomline, the rest is unfounded hype.

He's definitely the best player on the planet RIGHT NOW.

He'll be top 20 all time if he wins the title and gets a FMVP.
