Very questionable decision. I'm rooting for Golden State but I lean towards that hit being for sure intentional. This is a huge break for Golden State and I expect him to be extremely energized coming off a terrible game and getting a huge break like this. Look for Golden State to win the rebounding battle en route to an 8 point win. They gotta get off to a hot start and take this OKC crowd out of things, and never let up.

I disagree with this decision but I admit it would've been unfortunate to see the most important game of GSW's season (their first must-win all year) without a full team. I hope this doesn't become one of those things where if they win, people cry about this for all eternity, but it is possible.

The league literally has NO reasonable explanation for this other than "we don't wanna ruin the WCF". A precedent was set the ****ing day before with the Jones suspension. This is a flat out travesty. Silver had a chance to separate himself from the perceived corruption surrounding the league in Stern's tenure, but he proved he's no different. What a joke of a league.

Fined Flagrant 2. One more Tech on Dray and suspension which will happen at Oracle in Game 5. Series going 7. Did they fine Scott Foster for being such a shitty ref also? Weak early fouls on Bogut, He overrules other officials decision on shot clock violation which didnt hit the rim, plus he could have issued a flagrant 2 which shows just how shitty he is.

Not as important of a player. Won't change the outcome of the playoff series.
This is why the league is fked. It shouldn't matter from a basketball point of view how important the player is, if you set a precedent then it should apply the NEXT DAY.

Green was being reckless with his actions and unfortunately it landed but fortunately for him he did not get suspended. Green gets away with all his dirty plays :facepalm

There's also precedent, when they suspended half the Knicks roster in the PJ Brown - Charlie Ward fight. Saying a guy is too important is not an excuse.

Intent is not supposed to matter according to Stu Jackson, who used to have that job. According to him it's only a matter if the action was reckless or nit, which it clearly was.

actually intent does matter. just look at how they reviewed the dhantay jones case.

Dahntay Jones told ESPN he was interviewed by the league office before they announced his suspension. "They asked me what happened and I explained what happened and they told me it was a unanimous decision that I did it with intent, even though I didn't look," Jones said.

For somebody who gets kicked in the balls often, I can say without a doubt that was a kick straight in the balls. A kick to the balls is usually swift and angle at 90 degrees where the toes hit right under the balls. That is definitely not a "follow through" kick. DG is definitely an expert ball smasher with his precise angle and technique.

I suspected OKC would win (not.. by that much). I think the Warriors will take game 4 by 4-6 points though. Curry needs to step it up now, or the Warriors are going home. Which isn't impressive (by his standards) considering he's played 5 games so far now.

Can't make excuses if OKC goes through though. An L is an L, regardless of the details. No one remembers losers. But I do hope he picks his form up even though he said his knee hasn't healed at all. When he's in top form, the Warriors are clearly better than both of the current contenders and it's not that close either IMO. Him wobbled makes this a really tight affair.

It might have been better if Draymond had been assessed a Flagrant 2 and gotten tossed last game.

Now he's got two strikes basically. Worst case scenario is he gets a Flagrant 2 tonight and gets tossed, and is also suspended for next game.

If I'm OKC I'm gooning it up tonight. He's getting elbowed, kicked, chipped, stepped on, shoved every time down the court. I'm sending Nick Collison at him to use up all 6 fouls. I have a feeling Draymond Green either will not be himself and will contribute little to the team, or he'll be forced to retaliate. I don't think he can help himself.

Yeah I'd get Collison in to get under his skin too. Not worth it for any of the other players with suspension risk and the series on the line, but OKC should definitely be sending a message to the league that they will not put up with shit.

NBA put Kiki Vanderweghe on Sportscenter last night. Adam Silver just made a live appearance today. They are in major damage control mode. Their credibility as a professional sports league is now in question. For the first time they've basically admitted from the league office that they play favorites. Usually they just fix things with refs making one sided calls. Now we have confirmation from the main office that it's one sided.

Expect GS to get calls that benefit their momentum or gain ticky tacky fouls.

Refs will give OKC fouls later near the end or when it doesn't matter to make the scores look a little more even.

Exactly. That's what always happens with rigged games. The favored team receives the calls that actually matter.

All these fans whine about touch fouls and then want draymond to be suspended for having his legs come up after being shoved back...you people are honestly ridiculous

Didn't see Kiki last night, but did see Silver today. Yup, damage control mode like a muh****a.
