No one calls him Pippen. The only real similarity between Lebron James and Michael Jordan is that their last names start with the letter J but one of them doesn't actually have a J

I think in his career he's shown he can be both and that's a gift and a curse.

lebron usually always makes the right basketball play... He over thinks and sometimes he should take over.

It's something he's always internally struggled with.

I think people expect him to play like Jordan because that is who he is usually compared to, but some people are ahead of the curve by pointing out he is more like Pippen despite the reputation and expectations.

Exactly this. We see him as a Pippen. A great team player who in most cases lacks the killer instinct to take games over when needed.

People compare him to Jordan so when he doesn't live up to that comparison we have fun with clowning the delusional Lebron stans.

NOBODY calls him Pippen, at all. People have made a comparison between the two, but we all know Lebron > Pippen. Quit your belly aching.

Pippen is too big and thick. No way anyone would expect Lebron to match up to Pippen's prowess in the sack.

Lol. how old are you op? You were the ones calling him jordan with your top 3 comparisons so we expect him to be. But were right, hes just a pippen masquerading as jordan. Honestly you got exposed as dumb for making this thread

Lebron brought up the comparison himself when he picked #23, said that no other than himself should wear #23 and self-proclaimed himself Chosen One or King. On top of that his stans call him GOAT and whatnot.

So if Lebron and his stans are putting him in the same conversation as Jordan, we would expect him to perform at the same level.

Unfortunately that is not the case, hence the LeBeta, LePippen, Le2/7 comments.

Lebron IS more like Pippen as a player. I've never really understood the Jordan comparisons because Lebron doesn't play like Jordan at all. Their styles are very different. Lebron, like Pippen, doesn't have a true scorer's mentality. Jordan was a scorer first and foremost, but he also had a great all-around game. Lebron has more of a distributor/playmaker mentality, but he's also a great scorer.

Pippen like Lebron lacked the finesse and skill of MJ to get a shot off in tight situations.

Lebron being 'passive' is just because he is limited in his moves and under tight D he just doesn't have the kind of mid range and post moves that MJ has. He doesn't have that mid range fallaway like KD or Dirk either and generally teams take away his drive in the 4th forcing him to either shoot low percentage or pass the ball, he usually chooses to pass the ball.

Never heard anyone call him Pippen. I've heard people describe him as cross between MJ and Magic many times though.

Kawhi is the current player with Pippen comparisons.

The NBA, the media, and the Bransvestites are why we hold him to such high standards.

If people were real about his status, we'd hold him to Pippen standards.
