And Kobe was demolishing the Spurs with a 33-7-7 .514 FG% WCF's, as well. He would be going for 40 every night...especially if somehow Glass was asked to defend him.

Fisher would feast, too.

Fisher was lights out in the playoffs that season, and his TS% against the Spurs was ... .772.

And the Kobe-bashers forget just how good Kobe was against the Spurs in the playoffs during the 00's. He was easily the best player on the floor in the majority of those series.

BTW, I would take a peak Kobe over Glass any day of the week.

No the Lakers wouldn't. 01 Lakers are the most overrated team ever, and this thread just confirms it again.

2001 Kobe was playing like 2016 Westbrook against the Spurs, imagine what he would do against the Warriors with Steph and Klay guarding him :kobe:, he dropped 44 on them at age 36

Shaq would absolutely destroy them, there's nothing Green or Bogut could do to stop him

good luck playing small ball against prime Shaq

I wouldn't expect anything less from a basketball historian such as yourself. Spurs could never stop Kobe from getting his. I think there is a top 10 video of Kobe posters on D-Rob and Duncan.

Klay is better than anyone than the Spurs had to guard Kobe tbf lol. Bowen wasn't there yet.

LOL at Shaq chasing Curry/Dray PnRs around. I'd pay to watch that.

Kobe at age 36 dropped 44 on Klay, the year they won the title

You acting like Adams is chasing Curry/Dray on PnRs.

Curry/Dray can't even do PnRs with Adams on the paint, imagine with Shaq lmfao. :facepalm

Uh Shaq would be much, much worse than Adams in that regard. Shaq's going to be a liability on the defensive end vs the Warriors. He's too big and slow (even in 01). But Shaq will absolutely destroy GS on the other end. Bogut would get in foul trouble quick guarding Shaq (if Shaq and the Lakers can target him which shouldn't be hard considering how prone he is to it) and from there on out it will be Shaq gunning for a 100. Kobe can also score when Shaq's arms get tired.

The Warriors only hope would be Hack-a-Shaq from the opening tip. Use all of Bogut's, Ezeli's, Speights', and then Green's fouls. Hell, use Clark's and Rush's, too.

Trade FGAs/ 3 pt FGAs...for two FTAs on every possession.

Adams blocked a Curry 3 last night. And remember that 3 on 1 where he defended three guys in the last 5 seconds of that huge win over the Spurs?

Show me a clip like that of Shaq. Shaq would never even step up on the pick. And that means you are allowing Curry to walk into an open 3. That play is ~ DOUBLE the best NBA post efficiency.

Hurricanekid, the Warriors are proving in this series that they SUCK DEFENSIVELY!!! Forget about the 3>2 BS, they are missing A TON OF OPEN LOOKS and contested looks they have made ALL SEASON. They just forgot how to defend!!! The early 2000's were a very solid defensive team.

Dray and little Stephy can do their cute little P/R all they want but they better do it early and often because Shaq is going to be scoring AT WILL!!! on Green and getting him into foul trouble VERY EARLY in the game!

You don't need to block Curry's 3 pointers, just be physical with him on the defensive end coming across the lane while also giving the ball to anybody he's guarding and make him play work on defense.

The 2016 Warriors are a soft, SMALL, jump shooting team. This style would not work against ANY of the great teams of the past specially against teams with strong front courts like the 80's Sixers, Lakers, Celtics or 00's Lakers!

It is known.

Anybody who watched basketball before 2010 and isn't an insufferable Curry/LeBron stan/troll (same thing) already knows this.
