http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2642370-uninterrupted-draymond-green-receives-text-from-kobe-bryant-after-game-4-loss

Draymond Green reflects on the Warriors' Game 4 loss and shares a text message he received from Kobe Bryant that read: "If making history was easy, why bother?"

Kobe didn't want to make history the easy way, but we all know who did.

But it's interesting the way Kobe stans worship him. It's pretty much cult/religious like. Kobe sends a somewhat lame motivational text, and suddenly it's going to inspired GS. As if Kobe is, I can't quite think who. Some old wise master that has been on earth for thousands of years, who can cure things with his blessings.

If Kobe can motivate like this, then how is Al Jefferson not a two time NBA champ already considering who he plays for.

Kobe fans requoting a "slay"

LeTards and haters requoting a "slay"

ISH is too ****ing predictable.

As for the OP - words of wisdom from a five time champion - considering the new breed of superstars have at most 2 rings on an individual basis (Lebron w/2 plus 4 losers to boot)...yeah you take it deep.

You act like he was the reason they gave up that lead. He certainly didn't quit in Game 6 but his teammates did.

I know it sounds good, but Kobe didn't quit in game 7

The Suns burnt the Lakers to a crisp from the opening tip and there was no chance to recover.

The first quarter ended 32-15.

He scored 18 points in the 2nd quarter of game 7, you can't convince me that he wasn't trying, the Suns were just the better team and shouldn't have been down in the first place.

I thought the series was over when Kobe hit that layup

and then....Kwame Brown gets switched onto Nash, gets lost on D and leaves him wide open at the corner, Nash somehow misses

and then Kwame Brown got pump faked into giving Tim Thomas a wide open three
