Agree (of course he wont face the same backlash, but in terms of magnitude it is, exactly the same.. ).

I agree.

Here is what I'd like to see the most. Curry starting slowly and OKC being up 15. Then Steph working his way out of it. That would be career-defining. What I dislike him in the most is that he plays better the better he does. I'm not sure if I have ever seen him give it his all.

This went through my mind before. Big road game, opportunity to really flip things back in their favor for a home Game 7, but haven't won either game so far on the road this series and the Thunder (like the C's) are riding a confidence high, only this time way more explosively and convincingly.

Lot of parallels between the two situations. Curry probably feels disrespected right now too given Russ/KD's comments at the post-game the other night, Warriors are being considered the underdog for like the first time all season.

Curry: 36 points, 13 in the 4th, respectable D all game, impressive road win.

Will he shoot it from 3 the first possession of the game?

If Steph loses tonight, he loses two rings. It affirms that he can't beat a healthy contender and negates last years championship too. A lot on the line tonight for Stephanie

Hmmmm, somewhat. LeBron was still ring-less at that time. His entire legacy was on the line. Curry at least has a championship under his belt. Of course, if GS loses tonight, the legitimacy of that championship will be questioned by some too, since OKC is the first great team GS has faced over the last 2 postseasons and they couldn't even get past them. You know people will be saying that.

Agreed, and it needs to be a series-redemptive one for the sake of his playoffs legacy. He may not be primarily culpable for the series, but he still deserves the lion's share of the blame as the team-leader; after all, he needs to compensate for his teammates' deficiencies, not vice versa.

Hopefully he can start off this game hot-handedly. As his comments in the post-game press conference suggests, his confidence has been rattled in the OKC crowd; as such, it may go in the wind of how hot or cold he starts this game, and he can't afford to let a team as explosive as the Thunder control the game early on in front of their fans.

How this playoffs run ends for him may make the differences between him catapulting his legacy as astronomically as LeBron did in 2012 or him becoming a caricature of Jordan-crying memes all summer log, and tonight's game may be the landmark of either implication.

Yes. He is good enough injury wise to have enough for this to be a career defining level of game.

Because Steph is such a good teammate he sometimes lays back slightly in the first and let's the game come to him (e.g., not driving to the rim against a switch).

I really hope he does and tries to get to the rim/get fouled. That takes the energy out of the crowd in the first. He can start letting loose with the cannons after that.

I expect 37 pts, 6 bounds, 8 dimes, 3 steals

Stop comparing him to LeBron please. LeBron is a two way player. This other dude needs to be fresh to produce on offense.

But Curry can shoot

Nah... he is firmly established as the best player in the league plus he already has a championship.

He may have a breakout game tonight but OKC will make him work his ass off -- like in Game 5.

It's not as big as Game 6 was for LeBron, but this absolutely is a legacy game for Curry & Durant/Westbrook

Laughable

He's not even top 3 on the court THIS series. That doesn't happen if you're firmly established as the best. He's nowhere near the best.

Not even close and literally zero comparability

Curry's game tonight is MUCH more crucial to his legacy

Lets compare:

BEST supporter cast of all time

BEST record of all time

THREE players on ALL NBA-Team

THREE all-stars

Returning FMVP coming off the bench

Former NBA champs

COACH of the YEAR

Against Chokelahoma (who Lebron always destroys)

Vs.

Mo Williams as your 2nd Option :oldlol:

One player on ALL NBA-Team :oldlol:

Mike Brown :oldlol:

Against arguably the GOAT defensive team + 08 champs

You're telling me the pressure and magnitude was more on Lebron than it is Curry? With the supporting cast he has? Dude can literally COAST all game and his team can win. You think Mo Williams and Zydrunas Illgauskus could of carried Cleveland against Pierce/Garnett/Allen/Rondo/Tony/Perk

If Curry cannot close this series out it will be the biggest shortcoming and upset in NBA history, period

Curry's legacy is already CRUSHED by his performance this series and previous finals, proving he cannot perform up to his standards under pressure.
