Whatta you think about it? I hate to comment on players I never watched live, which would be 3 and 4
Chris Broussard @Chris_Broussard
Top 5 Backcourts: 1 Steph/Klay; 2 Isiah/Dumars; 3 Frazier/Monroe; 4 West/Goodrich; 5 Magic/Byron Scott. Hate to leave out Chauncey/Rip

Drexler/Porter deserves an honorable mention too. Pretty sure that's better than Billups/Rip actually. Surprised how low magic/scott is just because of how good Magic is.

Kobe/Fish.
Neither were too cocky to keep the last shot away from one another, and always worked together flawlessly.
Sure, Fish's stats aren't amazing, but he was a good player and one of the clutchest mofos ever.
If we include SFs too, then LeBron/Wade is also an incredibly good tandem, especially on fast attacks

Well he certainly never saw a Bulls game live. Ron Harper was averaging like 20/5/5 with two steals for 10 years before he came to the Bulls. And I heard the other guy was pretty good, too.

Give them Sabonis and they win a championship or 2 and get bumped to 3rd on that list.

Yeah, the Jordan/Harper back court came to mind when I saw the list. Harper altered his game and sacrificed his numbers (which he deserves credit for) but he was a baller. He averaged 20/6/5/2/1 the year before going to Chicago. When you factor in the GOAT and 3 straight titles, Jordan and Harper has to be considered one of the best back courts ever.

That backcourt is definitely better than Billups/Hamilton.

...Harper averaged 20 points on .496%ts on the 27 win clippers...he was done as a premier player in the league with his knee issues and being on the wrong side of 30 by that point. People always act like he didn't get scoring options because of Jordan...Harper was there all year in 95 and wasn't doing shit offensively before he showed up.

How hard is it to understand.... "3 and 4?"
No I never saw Goodrich and West play together considering the last time they did was the 73-74 season.
Plus, Frazier and Monroe never played for the Pistons

I was referring to the Isiah/Dumars and Magic/Scott backcourts, whom you both haven't seen live, which isn't too hard to understand for anyone with more than two braincells.

I thought you originally posted it in question form. That's my fault.
When I say live, I mean on live TV.....when they were still playing in the league.
Not on video's.

To be honest I read it the way that Broussard had never seen them play live, not you. Then I should have known that not knowing anything about something has never stopped Broussard from having an opinion about it.

I think they are talking about sheer talent + chemistry + dominance. But even if you take in team success, they aren't that far off.
You could argue Isiah/Dumars were responsible for preventing Jordan from winning earlier. But also look at the PG/2 guard dominated league today. It's ridiculous.

I think its inevitable that Steph/Klay surpasses them but I regularly see Isiah/Dumars get underrated/disrespected.

It's just too bad Poop took Ginobili off the bench. Probably helped extend his career though.

BJ was an all star.
And it just so happened that was in 93-94, his only all-star appearance. The same season Jordan quit in the middle of his contract.
Coincidence????? Don't think so
