So you're saying players should only play defense based on position?

Curry is not a 2 way player. He has a lot to learn on defense and he should be training with guys like Gary Payton in the offseason tbh.

no
but having a small forward be a 1 way player is worse than having a pg thats a 1 way player
having a center/pf that is a 1 way player is worse than having a small forward one way player
1-5 is pretty much the importance of defense by position
descending from most important defensively
5 and 4 are generally the most important
followed by the wing 3 and 2
then pg

So the defense of a pg is not important according to you, so Curry's defense is a non factor making him a one way player.
Hypothetically a SF is guarding a SF role player and the PG is guarding a star PG, which is more important to the team? The SF, right? According to your "analysis".

How a team plays defence is important.
There is no order of positional importance.

Didn't really seem like lack of effort.
More like caught out on the play and just lost his man, and was too far to make any attempt on the ball.

Well Fundamentally speaking, KD did the right thing by going to the top of the key on the fast break to stop a layup after a turnover
But this is Golden State so...
