Or do you want to watch 10 more years of this 3 ball chucking?

3 ball chucking is still much better than strong-side ISOing, tbh.

agreed and pnr's(especially the screens gs set) can neutralize handchecking pretty well

What does illegal D have to do with what I said? The OP is clearly about bringing back a certain style of ball (90s style) which was much worse than the current era.

Besides, what would handchecking do to stop the Warriors? Chris Paul handchecks Curry every time they play and can't stop him. :oldlol:

I hate what the game has become

They need to reinstate handchecking, and add in some new post up rules to bring balance back to the game

Perhaps extend the 5 second back to basket rule to 10 seconds

You do realise players post-up for way longer than 5 seconds and it doesn't get called anymore?

Are you watching basketball?

Just handchecking and roll back defensive 3 seconds to 80/90s rules.

Will let defenders guard much closer and take more chances without fearing getting burned for an open line to the basket.

I think you need to go and do some research about the history of the game

Handchecking rules were reinterpreted after the 2004 NBA finals, following Mark Cuban complaining about how Detroit stifled Kobe's driving to the basket

Illegal defense was fully removed, leaving only the 3 in the key rules in 2001.. Speculated that it was because of Shaq, and Iverson

You see, the rate of 3pt shooting was increasing even before the handchecking rules.. They obviously do have an impact, but Isolation ball started to disappear after Illegal defense was removed, allowing full defensive freedom

You need to do some research

Notice that handcheck on that last play where Ibaka fouled him? Didn't get called until he got hit on the shot.

I'm a Warriors fan, but I can't stand the 3-point chucking.

I would love to see the league become more physical again, even if it meant my team getting worse because of it.
