They destroyed the Warriors by 20+ in games 3 and 4 to go up 3-1 and then lose 3 straight.

I can't think of a bigger choke job.

No. You don't think a defending champ that won 73 games are capable of winning 3 in a row? :biggums:
FFS they had their first 2 game losing streak of the year in this series

Yeah but OKC were vastly superior after game 4. They had the Warriors on the ropes.

Ok, but worst choke in history? Absurdly hyperbolic, acting like the NBA and other major sports leagues haven't been around for 50-100 years

Lakers blowing a 20 poing lead at home in the NBA Finals was the last time I've seen a choke that bad.

Why would anyone even ask this question if they even semi-followed basketball? Memories are short.

one of the most colossal choke jobs in recent memory

this is the type of series that tarnishes legacies for life

2015 LA Clippers by far, its not even a contest. Winning game 1 by 16, game 3 by 25 and game 4 by 33, then lost three in a row by double digits. Its among the most bizarre series in NBA playoffs history.

This one was pretty damn bad but Spurs game 6 2013 comes to mind to me as biggest choke job in long time.

Or Portland blowing a 15 point lead to the Lakers in the 4th quarter of Game 7 WCF

FFS they had their first 2 game losing streak of the year in this series^^^This right here.

Not only that, but it felt like the Warriors took this series more than the Thunder choking it away. Yes, whenever a team loses, that team is at fault to a varying degree. But I mean, what can a team possibly do about a guy hitting 11 (11!!!) 3-pointers, often barely taking the time to look at the hoop and pulling from 30 with little hesitation?

In the end, it felt like the Thunder fell because they finally experienced the vortex that is the Golden State Warriors. I've believed for most of the year that if Golden State plays anywhere near their potential, they're virtually untouchable. It's like playing a final boss whose power keeps regenerating.

I would say it's one of the biggest choke jobs ever, if it wasn't for who was involved.

I didn't expect anything less from KD and specially Dumbbrick.

it's their destiny to always fail.

2013 finals game 6 by the Spurs was a bigger choke job.

2011 finals overall by the Heat.

It's not a real choke job unless Lebron is involved.

Biggest choke of this season. That's about it.

The hyperbole some of you use around here makes me think you started watching sports last week and went stat picking at Wikipedia for the rest.
