I'm sure some part of him wants to go home to D.C.

DC doesn't have Steven Adams
If Pat Riley gets in the room with Durant this summer, he'll be coming to the Heat.

Makes sense for him. They won't pay the luxury tax again so expect Bosh/Dragic to get traded. Probably Bosh IMO.

he'll stay in OKC for at least one more year
no way he can get away with leaving his team after choking a 3 - 1 series lead.

Durant knows Boston is one of the classiest, most professional franchises in sports. He would be great with Brad Stevens who coaches team basketball instead of player basketball.

You need at least two stars to win an NBA championship. KD is coming to Boston to play with who? They've got a bunch of good players but no great player. One great player isn't enough.

Let's get real here, he's re-signing with OKC. He realizes it was him and WB that didn't show up when it mattered and that is correctable. He has enough talent to win at OKC.

Max 1-year deal with OKC with a player option for another.
He's not coming to Boston. Not unless Danny has plans for landing another max-level guy in the works.

He's staying. KD is a momma's boy at heart so he should pride loyalty over most things. He should demand OKC get some competent scorers on that team. They need a legit 2 guard.
If he does leave he should go to San Antonio, Minnesota or New Orleans.
After like 3 years Minnesota would win back to back championships with Rubio, Lavine, Wiggins, Durant and KAT. Durant would be winning well in his 30's.
New Orleans: Jrue Holiday, Tyreke, Durant, Davis and Asik is a badass starting line up if healthy.

He's not going to play in DC. Athletes don't like
Playing in their hometowns generally because of the distractions and all the 'friends' that come to the surface. His one trip to DC this year was reportedly very stressful for him.

I think he signs a 2 year deal with OKC with an opt out clause. That gives him one or two more years to try and win with this current core, and also maximizes his income.

I'd hate for him to go to the Lakers but I think it's a real possibility. Maybe even Boston or Phoenix. If Phoenix doesn't get him then I'd rather he go to an Eastern Conference team. Try to restore some balance in the NBA. Let's see the Eastern Conference get stronger.

I don't think he's leaving. When the Thunder beat the Spurs it bought OKC at least one more season. Had they been bounced in the second round he was probably gone. There will obviously be suitors and I wouldn't rule anything out entirely, but I'd say 80% chance he stays in OKC.
