Guys have been given rings for playing 2 games in the regular season. Others played half the year and didnt. Adrian Dantley never got his ring for 1989 when the Pistons won after trading him midseason.

Its up to the team. Cleveland is probably still cool with him....but giving it to him for trying to stop them? Eh. Who knows. The rules allow it I know.

As far as I know, once you get traded to another team, you are no longer eligible to get a ring if your previous team wins the championship.

It's up to the team... and there's no way the Cavs are going to give Andy a ring when he joined their biggest competitor.

Cleveland was the one who cut the loyalty with Varejao. Andy loved it here and said he wanted to be a Cav for life, they already scummed him way more than he could just by signing with a contender.

I dont believe this is true. Ive never heard anything about a traded player getting a ring the same year he left. If true, who are some examples?

I don't think it will be an issue as he will win legitimately.
But hypothetically I doubt he would get one anyway. Maybe if he didn't make the playoff roster but was on the team all season. But not for being traded away.
