Ouch... Westbrook in particular gets ahead of himself I feel, tries to put the team on his back to a fault, little too trigger happy and confident in his jumper. Its tough because when he's on he's on

At least Westy gets a shotload of assists and rebounds to fill up the stat sheet.

Can't say the same for KD

I see people still dont understand what alpha/beta really mean.

Beta doesn't mean FG%. Neither does alpha.

The fact that you are stepping up and TAKING the critical shots (make or miss) is indicative of being the alpha. Other "stars" *ahem* tend to shrink away from taking big shots in hopes of protecting his FG%. That's beta behaviour.

So you can take a bunch of idiotic shots and MISS in critical moments of the game (ala Westbrook and Kobe) and be considered alpha? WTF? You must be a Kobe fan.

He had 42 points on 18/33 shooting in his last Playoff elimination game

Kobe was a great mid-range shooter, unlike Westbrook. And he delivered in big Playoff moments, unlike Westbrook.

:biggums: bruh he was terrible with his back against the wall...

22.3 PPG, 3.7 APG, 3.0 TOPG on 41.4 FG%... pathetic.

??

25/11/7/4 blocks in Game 7 2000 WCF - more points, rebounds and blocks than peak Shaq in the most pivotal game of the Playoffs at age 21

31/11/6 on 44/67/91 shooting with 1 turnover in the 2 elimination games against the Kings in 2002

25/13/3/3 in the two elimination games against Boston in the 2010 Finals

2004 and 2008 Finals weren't in doubt so it doesn't matter what his numbers were

when his teams were in contention for titles he delivered more often than not. 7 Finals in 11 seasons.

We're talking about the elimination game

2004 they got blown out twice on the road and had to play a 3rd straight road game, they barely won 1 game thanks to Kobe's heroics. And if you were around to watch the series you'd know they loaded up on him and forced Shaq to beat them. GP was trash and Malone was injured.

2008 they got blown out by 40 on the road, they were undermanned against a stacked Celtics squad with Bynum and Ariza injured and had to win twice in their house, there's no way.

Can't win them all, no one did.
