Game 5 - Mon, Jun 13
Game 6 - Thu, Jun 16

Why do we need 20 days for one series? What's up with the 2 days inbetween games?

What confused me the most are the games starting in Oakland and them having 3 days between games. I understand 3 days between games later on when they travel city to city, seems weird though.

Lebron and Curry asked Silver for more rest.

Yeah, it should only be 1 day in-between games unless they're traveling the next game which 2 days is acceptable.

That is a really bizarre schedule tbh. The reason obviously relates to money somehow, but I dont see specifically how.

Perhaps Oracle has some immovable concerts scheduled in between those dates... buh?

Probably doesn't want to coincide with the NHL Finals, considering San Jose is in it. Not saying they would lose major ratings but would lose some.

For a Hockey fan like myself, I love the schedule cause they're not on the same nights

Yeah it is wack. The 'reason' is extra rest this year. I assume there is some hidden finacial incentive.

I'm taking two weeks off work to watch the games. Won't be enough to see the whole series.

Don't matter, series might be over on June 10-13 anyways.

But is 7 games spread out between 17 days?
Just checked and they have 7 games in 16 days.

NBA CRUSHES the NHL in viewership. It's not even close... the NBA is most certainly not worried about losing viewers to hockey, it's the other way around. The NHL expected to lose like 3 million viewers or something on Monday once Game 7 started. I'm pretty sure something else is the reason we have this strange schedule.

NHL is always on at the same time and the NBA schedule has been finalized for months now.

I doubt very much those in charge said 'San Jose might make the finals and so will the Warriors, we better have extended break periods.'

Even die hard conspricy theorist can't believe the NHL and the NBA are in cohoots to rig the finals.
