Kobe also had the most aesthetic post game and was one of the best dunkers in NBA history
full package.
as great as Curry was this season, look at his mid-range numbers
90 shots from 10-16 ft all season, and shot 45%
you can pull up a random season for Kobe and he'll have 300-500 attempts with shooting 46-49%.
It just gets boring watching a player make the same shot over and over again...

They act as if the three point line hasn't been implemented since 1979. :lol
As if players and teams shouldn't play to their strengths.
Curry is 180 pounds and they want the man to bang bodies all day in the lane because they can't stop his threes.

3pt shooting is boring
That's because 3-pointers are mostly wide open, catch-and-shoots, whereas 2-pointers are more contested and scored in a wider variety of ways - this is statistical fact:
NBA.com's stats show that over 80% of the league's 3-pointers are taken with 4+ feet of room (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=404693), compared to only 30% of 2-pointers.
In Steph Curry's case, 70% of his threes are taken with 4+ feet of room - specifically, he attempted 11.3 threes per game this season, of which 5.2 of them were "open" (4-6 feet of room), and 2.7 were "very open" (6+ feet), per NBA.com's stats:
........................................0-2 ft (very tight).... 2-4 ft (tight)..... 4-6 ft (open).... 6+ ft (very open)
STEPH CURRY'S.
3-PT ATTEMPTS PER GAME ............0.4 (http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/201939/tracking/shots/?Season=2015-16&SeasonType=Regular%20Season).................... 2.9 (http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/201939/tracking/shots/?Season=2015-16&SeasonType=Regular%20Season)..................5.1 (http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/201939/tracking/shots/?Season=2015-16&SeasonType=Regular%20Season)..................2.7 (http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/201939/tracking/shots/?Season=2015-16&SeasonType=Regular%20Season) <-- nba.com
PERCENTAGE OF
TOTAL 3-PT ATTEMPTS .................0.4%................ 26.1%.............45.9%.............24.3%
CLIFFS: 3-pointers mostly wide open and catch-and-shoots.. Otoh, since 2-pointers are more contested and scored in more diverse ways, the eras that shot more 2-pointers produced better players.. For example, Lowry was 10th in MVP voting this year, compared to Shaq in 1996 - there are many examples like this.

The meltdowns are VERY real! You know these guys were HURTING last night!
The revolution is now!
90s basketball was boring, why do you think they shortened the line?
Watching the same teams beat up on weak competition year after year is predictable and uninteresting, its funny how one of the main criticisms of LeBron directly applies to Jordan, delusional fanboys!
The best part about it is no matter who wins the title these guys will have to deal with the fact that GSW's style is the most efficient and effective way to play or LeBron and his brigade of snipers are the strongest force, its going to be like a daycare center on the board with all of the CRYING and WHINING that will take place, I'm ready!

What gets lost in all this, is that Curry is one of the most accurate finishers in the paint. I believe he led all guards in efficiency there. The guy has a variety of floaters/bankers/push shots.
If you think all he does is shoot threes, you just don't watch him play, it's that simple.

Curry's career average EFG% of 57.4% is 7% better than Kobe's career high and 2.4% better than Jordan's career high.
Jordan had superior per possession efficiency (ortg), which is more important than Curry's shooting efficiency - shooting efficiency FALLS UNDER THE UMBRELLA of per-possession efficiency.. Jordan had higher per possession efficiency due to higher midrange (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=12373019&postcount=26) efficiency, and far less turnovers.
Jordan's higher efficiency is remarkable considering he carried a bigger load: he produced a higher proportion of his team's points and assists with far less turnovers, while also carrying a bigger load on defense.
Jordan was superior on both ends, even though Curry's teammates spaced the floor for him, and Jordan's didn't - Jordan's Bulls only attempted 5 threes per game in 1991, compared to 25 per game for today's teams (30 per game for the Warriors and Cavs).. Accordingly, his stats would explode in today's spaced-out game.

Curry is nowhere NEAR the best offensive player ever.
Bird was a better offensive player, easily... So was Magic and Jordan... And Lebron/Kobe for that matter.
And without the 3-point line, curry is NOTHING - he wouldn't even be a top 10 player in eras without the 3-point line like the 70's.

Curry's efg is 57.4, higher than Jordan's - curry is GOAT offensive player and it's not even close.
So the player with the highest efg is the best offensive player?.. Get your head out of your ass..

The goat offensive player has athleticism like Lebron/Westbrook but with better midrange shooting than Steph Curry - that's Jordan.. This is Curry's FIRST season as the NBA's best offensive player, so he has 9 more seasons to go (in a row) before matching Jordan.

You were talking about shooting from the field, as if it actually matters that Jordan was better from midrange. Curry is a better shooter than Jordan, by a lot, when all shots are taken into account.
Once Curry's obvious shooting superiority is pointed out, you change the subject. But since you brought it up Curry's ORTG of 125 this season tied Jordan's career best.

It's kind of funny how much I take the Warriors for granted. I was watching Game 7 with my wife and everytime the Thunder would be up 5-10 points I'm just like, "It doesn't matter. Look at how hard they're working for their points. The Warriors are going to jack up 3-4 three pointers and make at least 2 of them no matter what." And it happened every, single, f*cking time.

You are watching a game where hustle points, being up 5-10, and good defense doesn't matter. Just watch guys hit every other 3 with defenders draped all over them. :lol

this is excatly why I don't like watching the Warriors anymore and I hope the Cavs win it this time. That's not great basketball the Warriors are playing, it's only great 3point shooting. Curry and Klay are running around like maniacs and hoisting 3point shots from every possible position. Is that really the style of Basketball we wanna see??
