I get a kick out of these topics like, "Curry has been so clutch in the last five minutes." So what? He has played like shit in the first halves of almost every playoff game this post-season.

And even that "clutch" is over-rated. It has been Klay who gets the Warriors going in the second halves. When Glass sees Klay single-handedly carrying the team, and propelling GS into a come-from-behind lead, he will hit a couple of three's down the stretch to seal the game. And that has only been in the last couple of games, as well.

Of course, with GAC...he will inevitably explode for portions in a game in which he will put up something like 15 points in two minutes.

Still, he has been remarkably a non-factor for HUGE portions of these playoff games.

And again...the Warriors have played better this post-season withOUT Mild Bruised Knee Curry.

Why the f would he push it right now? And take shots away from team-mates who are playing well and hitting shots? This kind of performance gets the entire squad shored up on confidence and gets people into a good rhythm.
Its a good thing that unlike some 'superstars', he doesn't see the need to prove to his own team that he can score points.

But I hope we can put that "Curry is the best in the world" crap to bed. Best player in the world wouldn't be letting his backups win FMVP.

He has one of the best supporting casts I've ever seen a great player have.

Defensively he has maybe the best defender in the league, one of the best isolation defenders, one of the best interior defenders and he doesn't even have to guard his position because his SG can cover them for him and allow him to hide!

Offensively he plays with multiple playmakers and ballhandlers that can take the pressure off of him. Maybe the 2nd best shooter in the league on his side and a triple double machine that compliments him perfectly.

And most importantly he can sit down on the bench and instead of his team losing all their momentum they can actually hold it down or even extend leads like they did yesterday.

Of course Curry is the one that takes them to another level and makes them all time greats but he really has it good. I would like how effective he more than any other player would be on a mediocre or decent team.

Curry put up like 26/6/6/2 on 60% TS while getting double teamed during the majority of the Warriors offensive possessions

If you honestly dont think Curry was the Most valuable player in last years finals then you just dont know shit about basketball

Double teamed on the bench? The Warriors did far better with him off the court.

25+ minutes last night:
Iggy +21
Livingston +20
Green +17
Barnes +7
Curry -1

One game sample, but as I've said many times, he's a product of his teammates (they're pretty ****ing good regardless of him) as much as his teammates are a product of him. And both are a product of a Made-For-TV NBA.

We aren't arguing sample size because the Warriors team is much better, and had a lot more blowouts.

I am saying, in Game 1 of the Finals, Curry was locked down and played like ass but it didn't even matter because GS is the best TEAM in the league from 4-9, easily. So, Curry benefits from a well constructed team as much as the well constructed team benefits from him.

The MVP should be the Warriors GM.

Why would I?

Even if he does, he is nowhere near a Top-25 player (as ESPN's "panel of experts"...aka, their night shift janitors would have us believe.)

He is what he is. The GOAT shooter. Not the GOAT scorer, nor rebounder, nor passer, nor team player, nor winner (please...his team has played better without him in this post-season), and his defense?

Maybe if he strings 2-3 more seasons like this...and then performs at a much higher level in the post-season than he has so far in his career...sure, I will start moving him up the list.

But let's see how this fragile player's career pans out first.

" How the f*ck can a B2B MVP only have 6pts through 3 quarters in a Finals game  "

And again...the Warriors have played better this post-season withOUT Mild Bruised Knee Curry.

how can you be this ****ing mad off of one game??:biggums:

"Curry" in my language means little girl

Fitting name for a little girl like Stephanie Curry

But last night you agreed with a +/- stat when it was against Curry..:coleman:

I couldn't even tell you his +/- from last night.

BUT, what I do remember is him going to the bench with something like a six point lead, and then GS exploded out to a 20 point lead. Then, they brought him back in, and not coincidently, the Cavs went on a 9-0 run.

And Warriorhater has posted some nonsense about how big a difference NIC has made to the Warriors when he is on/off the floor. I then posted an article which had the Warriors at a +7.9 ppg differential when Klay and Dray have been on the floor, and with Glass on the bench. Which would have ranked second behind San Antonio's differential this season.

The reality has been...and especially in this post-season...the Warriors have played better without GAC than with him.

So much fail in one post. :oldlol:

First, a Wilt stan talking about high level play in the playoffs?

Second, the Warriors have played better without Curry? OH REALLY? So they would have beaten the Thunder without Curry? :oldlol: :lol

Even your senial self doesn't believe that. Curry led the Warriors to one of the greatest comebacks in NBA playoff history.

Curry averaged 33/8/7 in the last 3 games to propel the comeback. But nah, they're better without him.

Chamberlain is the ALL-TIME WARRIOR CAREER PLAYOFF PPG SCORER... at 34.6 ppg. Then, in his "must win" and "series-clinching" WARRIOR playoff games... a 36.0 ppg average. Even in his one Finals as a WARRIOR, and against Russell and his SEVEN other HOFers... 29 ppg, and 28 rpg! How about his 11 40+ point PLAYOFF games....as a WARRIOR? Or his FOUR 50+ point playoff games....THREE of which came in "must win" games?

So, go ahead an find me the playoff series in which GAG averaged 37 ppg, or 37 ppg, or 39 ppg, or 39 ppg. To go along with at least 23 rpg in each of them.

BTW, Chamberlain DOMINATED the WARRIORS in his '67 title run...with his 18-29-7 (and likely 7+ bpg) , .560 FG% Finals...in a series in which Rick Barry averaged 41 ppg.

BTW, in Wilt's entire post season career, and in his 37 "must win" or "series clinching" games...he AVERAGED 29.5 ppg, 26.4 rpg, 4.2 apg, and shot .546 from the floor. Narrow it down to his "must win" playoff games...and his numbers go to 31.1 ppg, 26.4 rpg, and on a .540 FG% (in post-seasons that shot about .435 in that same span.)

And "must win" and "series clinching" games of 40, 45 (in a FINALS BTW), 46, 50, 53, and 56 points. All while annihilating his HOF peers.

So, don't ever mention "GAC the gagger" in the WILT discussions.

They carried his dead weight as far as they could but his arrogance was just too much. Throwing behind the back passes in G7 like he's Magic or Cousy :facepalm

Curry has downgraded to a point that even Green's 11/14 FG could not carry him.
