I know its to early to discuss this but hey i dont want to create another finals thread because we all know its just a game and its quite far from over. But looking forward to the wolves since they have a new coach and hopefully a new era

what is the best thing that the Wolves should do with the 5th pick?
If its up to me i wouldnt mind parting ways with rubio and pek + 5 to get a good veteran al horford + 21st pick maybe? and the wolves will take brice johnson at 22:)

or just go ahead and pick Brown/Dunn i dont want to get Murray since we already have Lavine.

your thoughts guys :)

They aren't in win now mode, so might as well go for the home run with the pick.

Trade Rubio for Afflalo/Calderon or comparable...maybe a younger player is better
Sign Whiteside.
Draft Murray.

Calderon/Murray
Afflalo/Lavine
Wiggins/Muhummad
Towns/Dieng
Whiteside/Dieng

What could the Wolves realistically get with a package of #5 plus Wiggins?

Probably the #1 pick but it is not worth it doing that.

Calderon is garbage rather have Rubio and affalo is a good bench player rather have lavine with his upside.

Calderon isn't starter material anymore on a playoff team but teaching the young ones is what they should go after. Picking up Conley would be ideal but he isn't coming to MN. Rubio's time in Minny is pretty much over.

I rather have Lavine gun for the 6MOTY with Afflalo for stability in the starting lineup. But I just pulled up the first 2 players in my head that Rubio could be traded for since NY would probably love him. They could trade Rubio for Rudy Gay if Rondo leaves. The T-Wolves would have a nice small-ball line up then.

Murray has a chance to be the best player in this drat.

Take him or Buddy or Dunn.

Trade Lavine after dunk contest

Kris Dunn is going to be a solid player in the NBA. Just trade Rubio for a future first round pick.

Looking at what Minny needs, I think they need a guy who can be a legit three point threat. So in my opinion, Buddy could be the fit. They won't expect him to be the dominant scorer OR playmaker on the team. He could concentrate on being the sniper that he is.

why would they even part with Wiggins? i mean if people think derozan is great then why cant wiggins be better. if they are to use that 5th pick + wiggins it would be a guy like Durant or Davis ... nothing less. unless warriors would like to let go of steph as well ... but this is meaningless right now. Wiggins is the future SG/SF of this league

If we could get both hield and dunn am all for it .. but i really think that marquese chriss is good with Kat as well as ellington I maybe overrating ellington but i think he would surprise a lot of people once he starts playing in the NBA he would possibly be a bigger version of ryan anderson
