View Full Version : I dont care what you say, Lebron is not a great

Look at the game. Great defender? yes. Great passer? yes. Great Rebounder? yes.
But he just scores nothing, all his points are layups or dunks. Amount of travel he gets uncalled for is funny too.

He elevates his teams, against poor opposition. But when he faces tough teams, he just cannot take over.

When defences got tough, you need to hit 3 pointers and jumpshots. Lebron hits nothing but layups and dunks.

Who cares if he is not making jumpsots. Driving to the basket and getting high percentage lay ups and dunks is much more efficient then clunking jump shots. Plus he puts pressure on the defence and gets the defence in foul trouble. I wish all the Cavs would drive to the basket every possession.

Lebron just isn't as great as he once is his early Cavs days along with Miami he was beast now he's very good player just does not impact the games like he once did.

Um, no. Kevin Love almost made the playoffs in the west when it was stacked and he didn't have anyone nearly as good as Irving.

His box scores are so misleading; his impact has been minimal.

He's 5-12, but two of those field goals were blatant travels.

I don't think they're similar. Magic could
Never score like Lebron could. And Lebron is nowhere near the floor general and passer of magic

Lebron hurts spacing of his teams, which why he needs 3 point shooters around him. He just cannot score big shots, look the game is on line now. A great would go all out and knock desperation shot after another. Not layups or dunks.

Bron is a great player, just not great most of the time when it really counts. You can count on one hand when Bron has risen to the challenge.

The one time I've seen him really take matters into his own hands was that game 7 in Boston several years ago with the Heat. He played like a man possessed. However that seems like an aberration.

That, and that game vs the Pistons where he took over. There's probably a few more I'm forgetting, but that's just it--Lebron really doesn't have that many memorable big time games on the biggest stage. And that's sad.

He's a physically great player, but lacks the mental aspect to overcome adversity in games on any regular basis.

When things are going good, he rides the wave of momentum and will easily score 30. But when things are going bad, he clams up. He has no offensive go-to moves, to methodically, CALMLY, attempt to score some points.

He doesn't have the ability to rally his team to comeback from being down like Jordan, Duncan, and Durant can.

And that's why attempting to counter this by simply (and might I add lazily) telling people to look at his stats is misleading.

Which one was that? Would be curious what I said, probably a kneejerk reaction.

He certainly has had a lot of shortcomings. But last year makes up for a hell of a lot of them.
