DrayGOD if he continues this pace

its only right

Green's the obvious front runner right now. Curry/Klay would have no argument after the first 2 games

Should be Livingston

Draymond has the inside-track right now

It'd be unfortunate if Green wins it tho. He was dogshit for so long in the playoffs.

Based on the first two games I'd say Draymond followed by Iggy

Draymond Green

pretty sure he leads the team in points, rebounds, assists AND steals. On top of that, he's also tied the most threes made and is shooting 7/14 from 3

Thompson is 5/13, Curry 7/16

Green has this easily.

Draymond is not gonna continue this pace on the road. It's still up in the air, I think Klay's chances are gone. Curry's are not.

Green if the series ends in 4 unless Curry has outstanding games in CLE.

Good thing it's called the FINALS MOST VALUABLE PLAYER.

LeBron. You don;t give the otherside this many ways to win and doing nothing about it

It has to be Draymond. Especially after how he struggled against OKC. When he is right, the team is basically unbeatable.

I'm rooting for Curry.

Dude is the ultimate team player. If his game isn't going or he is getting doubled or tripled, then he lets the other guys do their thing. He deserves one considering the defensive attention he gets and how much he frees up the other guys.

Actually crazy how much space they're taking away and how many guys they're throwing at him.

looks like its draymond so far. the big 3 don't have to do much with the cavs sucking so much. :lol

So far...Draymond. And if he actually wins it's not even a big deal to me. He's a borderline top 10 player in the league.

Green is easily the fmvp so far. Curry is 3rd at best on his own team.

That is simple. It gives Bron fam bullets against Kobe.

Now it makes Curry look bad.

But when you care more about 1 person than a team, that is what happens.

14.5/7.0/5.0 0 stls 4.5 turnovers 42%FG

he started Game 2 out by shooting 4 straight 3s

Cavs, just like in Game 1, were still within striking range with Curry on the floor, it was a 10-point game when Curry picked up his 4th foul and was sent to the bench

by the time he was subbed back in, his team was up 20 points at the start of the 4th

He has been a non-factor in these Finals. It's not about what the Warriors are doing on the offensive end. It's the fact that they held the cavs to 89 points in the first game and 77 points in Game 2. Warriors scored 104+ points in 6 out of the 7 games they played without Curry in the Playoffs with the lowest-scoring game being 96 points. Thompson without Curry averaged 29 ppg while shooting 46% from three in these Playoffs. Warriors don't miss a beat without him because they have so many play-makers and guys that are able to shoot the 3.

That would be pretty sick, a big testament to Kerr's team philosophy as well.

Dray is the FMVP through 2 games, but that is only half of the wins the Warriors need. I think the road games will determine who FMVP is. It is still very much up for grabs.

Imagine if Curry goes 3X MVP, and the Warriors 3peat with 3 different FMVPs and none of them are Curry.

Doubt it matters to him, as long as he gets them rings. Its not like he's a bench warmer.

Statistically Green.
Impact wise, Curry.

It's Green. Curry is only averaging 14.5 ppg. Not even Kobrick won an NBA Finals MVp when he averaged 25 ppg vs. The Nets.

That is because Shaq was completely dominant. These don't compare.

I do agree it is Green right now, but Curry's impact is definitely significant. When he cuts across, he has 2 defenders trailing him, which opens up the offense.

Agreed. He seems happy watching his team destroy. He'll continue to get credit because an MVP with a ring is better than a role player who steals a FMVP in 1 good series.

Green is leading the charge, good in game 1 and great in game 2.

1. Green
2. Iguadala
3. Curry
4. Thompson

I'd say this is the ranking at the moment.

Steph is above Iggy.

Steph is 14.5/7/5
Iggy is 9.5/6/4.5

The intangibles even out because Iggy is a better defender, but Curry draws 2 defenders frequently.

Too limited for FMVP, but playing at that capacity when he is in.

So in Game 1 when he was -1 on the floor and the Warriors won by 15 with Iggy +21, Livingston +20, Barbosa +14....

How was Curry attracting double and tripe teams on the bench? The team was +16 with him NOT on the court.

I could see that argument. The thing is Iggy is guarding Lebron really well and is current FMVP holder, so he has some cache. Steph needs to do more IMO if he wants to win it, that's why I have Iggy as #2.

To be honest, he was just bad offensively in game 1. No excuse about it. He played really defense though. The thing is every single player in this team's starting 5 is better defensively than every starter on Cleveland except for Lebron. It's a shame he got fouled out of the game (his fault, not ref's) since he was doing really good when on the court.

And people, Barbosa and Livingston aren't going to win FMVP lol.. Lets be realistic. Everyone went nuts for Livingston hitting 20 in game 1. Klay or Steph hit that, and everyone asks that they need to do more.

That's why the Warriors GM deserves the MVP. He assembled an impressive team, 1-9, on both ends of the floor.
