I was in Hilton Head last weekend when Tropical Storm Bonnie hit. It dumped a shit ton of rain but otherwise things were okay, no trees down, power stayed on, etc. So I start to head back to Charlotte and traffic comes to a dead stop on I-95. Turns out it is shut down in both directions because of flooding. The SCDOT directs us to detour on this shitty side highway, parts of which were under water. It was scary as hell driving through that shit. I kept thinking about all the videos I've seen of cars being swept away.
