Bogut with the clear agenda because he knows that he would be salary dumped to clear cap space for Durant. :oldlol:

He makes a good point too. Why try to fix what's not broken? They just came off a Finals. They are going to win another Finals and just had a historic season. I understand Bogut, Iggy and a few other players are getting older, but Iggy shows no signs of slowing down for his role. There's no reason to sacrifice key players for Durant.

What if Barnes is gone and you replace him with KD???
They would be even better than this year, with KD playing off ball.

But dumping Bogut is dangerous because he is their principal rim defender.

If I was running the Warriors I wouldn't even think about it.
Great team is not just great names, it has to do with mentality, chemistry and certain skillsets that compliment each player on the team.
Durant doesn't fit in this, and there's no reason to pursue it when you already have the best team of all time on your hands

It would still be the smart long-term move, but it's moot bc there's no way Durant would leave to piggyback a team already having this much success without him. It would look absolutely awful. Look how much shit Bron took for going to a Miami franchise that hadnt done shit in the playoffs the previous 3-4 years. If Durant jumped to a team that just went 73-9 the year before, he'd never hear the end of it.

This is all true but I think a core of Curry, Klay, Durant, and Green has simply too much long term potential to justify passing up. Those guys are all 27 years old and elite NBA players. Iguodala is 31, Bogut is somewhere around there as well, guys like Barnes and Ezili are replaceable.

In general I do agree with your points but in this particular case I think it'd be an exception. That is IF Durant actually intended to sign there, which I strongly believe he doesnt.

There's only one ball. And we're not interested in ring chasers.

They get rid of their toughest competition. Win win.

Id rather persue Steven Adams and put Boguts ass on the bench.

OKC is their only real competition. Signing Durant eliminates any real competition for the dubs.

THIS
Game over for the league.

The Bayern Munich technique of robbing best players from their only rival (Dortmund) is not bad, too. (KD to GSW)
