He's just not as valuable or good of a finals performer

As far as performing in the Finals / winning, as bad as Curry has been so far in his significantly younger career, Lebron set the bar really low :lol

He's to old to accomplish anything near what Lebron has done over his career.

Nobody expected Curry to surpass LeBron James. I didn't even think he'd be an All-Star caliber player in the NBA. Despite his obvious limitations, Curry has managed to win 2 NBA MVP's and an NBA Title. I'd say he's doing pretty well for himself.

no pun intended

Definitely. Curry exceeded the expectations of many when he came out of college. I'm still debating whether LeBron has met or didn't meet the expectations of those who already held him with high regard out of high school. Either way, both players are fun to watch.

But now........ he's considered one of the biggest Finals chokers of all time. (blew a 3-1 lead...73 win team)

facts are facts

But now........ he's considered one of the biggest Finals chokers of all time. (blew a 3-1 lead...73 win team)

facts are facts

Steph Curry is not considered one of the biggest Finals chokers of all time

Most 4th Quarter Points during the Finals

1995 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5
2000 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5 (61.1% TS)
2015 Stephen Curry 10.8 (75.1% TS)
1997 Michael Jordan 10.7 (55.1% TS)
1998 Michael Jordan 10.6 (50.6% TS)
2011 Dirk Nowitzki 10.3 (68.0% TS)
1993 Michael Jordan 10.3

2015 Steph Curry had one of the most clutch performances in NBA history. The only player to score more 4th Quarter Finals points than Steph Curry was Shaquille Oneal, and he didn't even score one point more than Curry while Curry scored 14% more efficiently than Shaquille

The last thing you can call Curry's 2015 Finals performance is a choke job

In the 2016 Finals he was not able to play as well as he did in 2015

What happened in 2016 that didn't happen in 2015? The MCL injury

http://i.ytimg.com/vi/m_8DziMFB8s/0.jpg

The time table for return of an MCL sprain is 2 to 4 weeks.

(Keep in mind that healing timetable is for every day activity, nothing more strenuous than walking up one flight of stairs, NOT playing professional basketball)

Stephen Curry returned from the injury after only 2 weeks because the Warriors were struggling against Portland without him.

Stephen Curry re-aggravated his knee injury by coming back too early and then playing 40+ minutes of playoff basketball plus overtime in his record setting performance against Portland.

Therefore we can conclude that Curry's MCL injury was the differentiating factor which lowered Curry's production

LeBron did not beat a 73 win team

Golden State was missing their 4 best players due to injury and suspension (Curry - Knee, Draymond Green - Suspension, Andrew Bogut - Knee, Andre Iguodala - Back)

The Golden State team that LeBron beat in the finals does not accurately represent the Golden State team that won 73 games during the regular season

Given the immense pressure that's been on LeBron his entire career, I think he's met the expectations. He may not be the greatest of all-time, but he's in the discussion.

Since when?

He wasn't expected to win in 2007 and wasn't expected to even be there

He also wasn't expected to shit the bed and get outplayed by Jason Terry in 2011 either...
