He got germs all over his hand from a Cleveland fan hi-fiving him, and then he started chewing on his mouth guard and then inadvertently put germs on it when he put the mouth guard back in his mouth with his hand. So he wasn't feeling 100%.

I'll add, I heard Steph wasn't impressed with the spread before the game and suffered minor brain damage but got cleared to play. Doc says it's still lingering.
