Yep

amnesty/trade him next season

Target Dwight/Gasol or look for a DMC trade

i don't think it's that obvious. Kyrie, Lebron, and JR just made a lot more shots and it's easier to play defense against a defeated team.

Going to be awkward when he comes back next game.

no, but the Warriors are just a nightmare for Love. bringing him off the bench for 16 to 20 minutes a game against the 2nd unit would still be plus ev for the Cavs imo.

LeBrons a power forward, Loves a power forward. Somethings gotta give.

Honestly. I'd keep RJ in the starting lineup and if it keeps working I may never play Love again, even if he passes protocol. It's just a matchup thing, we have a lot of defensive versatility out there with RJ, LeBron and TT.

It's too small of a sample size to say for sure. We're a lot better of a basketball team if Love is playing and hitting his shots but he's damn near a liability if not and this stage may be too big for him being his first time here.

Love is gone next season if they lose

50/50 if they win

Getting Gasol or Howard and getting rid of Love would help this team dramatically

Imagine if they traded him for Crowder, Olynyk and Smart...

I bet a reporter is going to ask him about it, and Lebron is going to shut him/her down

That was never on the table...was it?

I thought the Celtics offered a joke package that the Cavs laughed at.

****in Richard Jefferson, real talk. Dude came in like a beast, has been playing like a beast, and it made a huge difference.

I actually thought about it... I was like wow they should start RJ, but that was before Love went down... just cuz of how beast dude was, he was like the only one balling before. That was a great move by Lue.

It's not about stats, it's about energy.

I SEE NO REASON TO BELIEVE that it wasn't that line up change that made the difference. I guess Love is gonna have to accept a 6th man role.

RJ a factor on D too.

Love is garbage. Straight up. I don't care what kind of stats he put up in Minnesota. Just by looking at him, I can tell he isn't the same player he was then, and even if he was, I doubt that he could be a great player on a finals team.

He's slow, unathletic, and soft as charmin.

Definitely

JR needs more touches to build his confidence, even if he starts cold you gotta keep finding him, can't afford to have Love wasting possessions that could be used for a greater purpose!

I think OP was also including last year's Finals (and last year's entire playoffs for the Cavs...as Love went down in round 1 last year and never came back).

And so Cleveland is 3-4 against the Warriors without Love in the Finals. And 0-2 with him.

To be fair, Kyrie and JR playing like shit and Lebron playing average had nothing to do with Love.

Seems you are the only retard here. Everyone else is having meaningful discussions.

yeah, its actually amazing he was able to score so much in minny but thats what happens when u are given the greenlight and act on it at the expense of your team chemistry (see barea v love arguments). Love's release is far too slow to be an elite spot up shooter and he is far too soft and slow to be a bruiser in the paint.

He is such a bad finisher at the ring man... Does a great job getting such good position, but then just lets it all go to waste. Not really a fan of his game. 7 threes a game, or whatever it is he takes is just not the way I want my PF playing. Thompson is so much more of a better fit. Gets inside, gets offensive boards, and gives them more possessions to play with. Love used to do it in his first couple of years in Minny, but then in his last two there, and now at the Cavs he doesn't want to. Might be that weight loss?

Better defence , better ball movement , much more athleticism and versatile game .

Lebron would be amazing fit with Porzi . Trade Love + some pieces for him .

I noticed the two previous games that Jefferson came in agressively and always contributed making smart plays.

Jefferson should be starting regardless......matchups.

what great play?

Cavs had like three #1 picks and only got Irving out of it... terrible.

I didn't even notice that Love wasn't playing. I mean of course I knew he was out but nothing was missing and that says a lot. I doesn't say they are better without him but he's definitely not a piece they gotta have in order to win.

He's not a bad player at all but looks to me like he's a) not made for the big moments when it really counts. And b) he's not playing tall but he's not fast enough to play defense against smaller guys either. So he's neither a big man nor a athletic wing player. He's somewhere in the middle and that's a bad spot to be imo because you're going to be exposed either way.

Yes. They should trade him this summer and get pieces that fit better. They can still probably net a decent amount for him.

Love is horrible defender. He doesn't have athleticism, lenght, knowledge or even interest for a good defender. If one guy fails, whole team defense fails especially against a team which plays team offense.

Love for Wiggins was so dumb. Just imagine a guys like Wiggins on offense/defense right now. Cavs needs somebody to get inside and finish strong. Lebron is only option, Shump can do any of that. Defensively he could be quite good Warriors scorers.

It's confirmed. I can't believe Cavs didn't continue the winning theme and palyed Love.
