GSW shoots a ton of 3's and are great doing it so the conclusion is GREATEST team ever better than MJ led Bulls and Magic lead Lakers.
1. Yes, they shoot a "relatively" high amt of 3pt shots but it's not like they take only 3's.
They took 89.4 attempts total and yet ONLY took 23.3 3pt shots for like 26% or about 1 or every 4 shots. Still they took 66 2-pt shots/game.
2. GSW won 73 games therefore they are GOAT.
To say that this current league is watered down is inaccurate IMO. Maybe some fans esp Warriors fans are frowning at this term but consider these situations.
Injuries
Memphis lost their top 2 players
Dallas lost their 2nd best player and Dirk has really aged.
Clips lost Griffin and CP3 the playoffs. BG also didn't play much in the regulars.
Portland lost 4 starters.
OKC had a rookie coach.
Pelicans hired a bad coach.
Denver and Lakers on rebuiled mode.
Kings have imploded, TWolves too young and raw.
Then you add the weak Eastern conference, and it'll be really understand why the Warriors accomplished that feat. Bulls and that Lakers would have done the same IMO.
3. Kerr is great and had formulated a perfect system. Kerr is great but this systems worked because they had 2 of the best shooters and more importantly, they won a ton because of the weak year by most teams,more importantly they played GREAT DEFENSE. Phoenix under D'Antoni looked great offensively too but they don't play defense. Im betting if Kerr had peak Shaq, he would exploit the mismatch inside, I'm willing to bet that because Kerr actually traded Amare for the aging Shaq when he was a Phoenix executive.
