Objectively speaking. Defining 'overrated' as the size of the chasm between how a player is perceived by fans and how great his impact on a basketball game actually is.

The list:

Kobe Bryant
Dwayne Wade
Carmelo Anthony
Chris Bosh
Kevin Love
James Harden
Kyrie Irving
JR Smith
Larry Hughes
Iman Shumpert

THAT's it.

THAT's the list.

:applause:

Why would Kobe be on this list? If anything he's under-rated now as he just finished 12th on that ESPN list and a lot of the new age basketball analysts I've heard put him in the top 15.

I've always been critical of Kobe and his fans, but if he's being put 12 to 15 all time...he's not over-rated...he's under-rated.

How is Lebron not on this list?

He was put 3rd all time...which is a massive over-rating of both his abilities on the court and his accomplishments imo.

Some of the other guys I agree with...others I don't.

Love was over-rated...now he's absurdly under-rated.

Bro, wtf?? I thought we were cool now...?

You PM'd me the other day and said Kobe has a very skinny package and that Lebron's was much bigger in terms of both length and girth, as well as ability to obtain a rigid and satisfying erection..

We're just gonna act now like that never happened I guess..?

Smdh. This has place has gotten so ****in wack. Used to be a chill ass board, now it's all just people taking sides, trolling with agendas and acting like jerks. Im legitimately thinking of retiring from this place.

No doubt, and Shaq and Ben Wallace as well. I also can't believe I forgot Ronny Turiaf and Greg Oden.

How the Fu*k is wade overrated? Lmao.

OP was obviously trolling/joking with this thread, but Wade is actually one of the most underrated players of his era. He's one of the few all-time greats to carry a team to a title as "the man" and then successfully adapt his game to become a championship 2nd option. That's not an easy transition and he honestly doesn't get enough credit for it.

He also quietly just put together one of the best overall seasons ever for a 34 year old SG. He became the oldest player in history to lead a team in total points, assists, rebounds, blocks, and 3pt% in a playoff series. He's a baller, and despite batting injuries throughout his career he's still going strong.
