Bron was going to the finals at 22, and having deep playoff runs. Something Jordan couldn't do with his inefficient style of play until Pippen came along. Of course Jordan had prettier stats at the same age, and they aren't even that much better. He hadn't played nearly the amount, nor the teams that Bron had. Easy putting up nice stats in the first round all the time.

Lebron made the 2007 Finals by averaging a mere 25 ppg on 41% in ECSF, and 26 ppg on 45% in ECF - these would be among the worst stats of MJ's career and wouldn't get him out of the 1st Round, let alone make the Finals.

Lebron's weak conference is also why his Finals appearances were achieved by beating HALF the 50-win teams that MJ beat.

Infact, the entire NBA was so weak when Lebron came into the league, that they couldn't even beat Euroleague comp - Lebron and the NBA's best lost to the Euros in 2004 Olympics and 2006 World Games.

Before Pippen arrived (85-87'), Jordan's efficiency was essentially identical to Lebron's career averages, except higher Player Efficiency Rating and per possession efficiency (ortg): 49.3 fg, 57.1 ts, 117 ORtg, 27.8 PER

Despite carrying a heavier offensive burden (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=12557892&postcount=2) during his career, Jordan was more efficient than Lebron across the board - he has higher FG, TS, ORtg, and PER in the playoffs, and higher FG, ORtg, and PER in the regular season.

Pippen represents less help than the help Lebron has won with.. And yet thru 13 seasons, Jordan did more with less (twice as many rings and fmvp's)..

This massive gap is explained by the stats - his massive scoring and efficiency advantage is more valuable than Lebron's 2-3 extra defensive rebounds.. The tiny gap in assists (1.0-1.5) is offset by lower turnovers and time of possession.

Seriously - how much greater would Lebron be if he averaged 6 ppg more on better efficiency?... He'd be on another level.. the MJ GOAT level
