- More people will tune in to the game. With the suspension, more people will think Cavs actually have a chance of winning the game ( which is just an illusion). Before the suspension, almost everyone thought the series was over and game 5 was basically useless.

- Curry now has a better chance of winning the FMVP. The superstar winning the FMVP makes a better storyline and it makes NBA's job much easier to market Curry as the next big thing with a FMVP in his resume.

- If Cavs win, NBA still wins. The series will be extended, that means more money for the NBA.

I still think it was a little iffy that Green was allowed to play in Game 4 of the WCF, and I can't help feeling like this suspension would've never happened had Cleveland won Game 4 and the series was tied at 2-2.

Still, I guess it's good that the NBA actually suspended a star player for an NBA Finals game and made an "example" of him, but it kind of rings a little hollower with the cushion they have...
