Today's floods occur on SPACED-OUT COURTS, which results in only 2 defenders on the strongside (Gasol and Butler):

But the court wasn't spaced in Jordan's era, so he faced overcrowded strongsides that were already "flooded" with all 5 defenders - there were already multiple defenders standing where Gasol flooded to:

Regardless, today's floods can be avoided altogether by pulling up for a midrange jumper (which Jordan was GOAT at), or exploited by playing off-ball (ditto).. Similarly, the overcrowded paints and 5-defender strongsides of previous eras could ALSO be avoided by pulling up from midrange or playing off-ball.

Unfortunately, Lebron's midrange percentage less than 40% for 10 of 13 seasons (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=12389794&postcount=17) and his off-ball game is poor, so he can't take advantage of floods like Jordan, or mitigate the overcrowded strongsides/paints of previous eras.

Dude, Jordan's GOAT, nobody who isn't trolling disputes him being the GOAT perimeter player. Move on with your life, not even Jordan's family defends him to this extent

And here I thought you were going to show gifs of Jordan shooting on a court that was literally flooded with water. You disappoint me even more than usual

MJ got the call all the time while he fouled others on the other end but never got called.
