View Full Version : is Lebron James the only "superstar" that we celebrate making open jumpers?

I never seen a broadcast team orgasming about a "superstar" shooting/making open pedstrian jumpers the way they were last night, with guys like Kobe/MJ it's just expected, it's something you are suppose to do. But when Lebron is doing it, I guess it's just so unexpected it's considered a spectacle? :confusedshrug:

kinda like how no ones shocked when Kobe "misses" the playoffs

I think it's more like...when his jumper is falling, compounded with all of the other things he excels at on the court, he's completely unstoppable.

Outside of a dominant big man, pretty much. Pretty sad when you think that a reliable jumper is holding this dude back so much, yet all we have seen is it get progressively worse

because it's one of the (very few) facets of game he isn't absolute world elite in.
so when he starts hitting jumpshots, he becomes unstoppable.

just like prime shaq got celebrated when he was hitting his free throws. get it?

He's a fabricated superstar so when he finally does good (takes a teammate to out play him at this stage of his career) everyone has to make a big deal out of nothing.

Nothing changes, it's just delaying the inevitable 2/7.

He just had 41/16/7 3 steals and 3 blocks in an elimination game you idiot.
Who give a crap about what the broadcasting team says or does about anything.

that's an apt comparison, people treat Lebron like he's a big man. So he's graded on a curve, thus all his skills are exaggerated and over inflated

Ironic because he doesn't play like a big man which would do him good (post game).

pretty much this. if he had a dependable jumper and his balls were much bigger, he would be unstoppable.
