Unless you're a Sixer fan there's no good reason to be upset with him over this. And even if you are, big league pro sports is one of the very few jobs where you get so little control over where your career starts. I'm not mad at him for exerting the little influence that he can. Criticize him for failing to lead his team to the tournament or having 5 ft range on his jumper. Not giving a workout? Eh. He might even be doing Philly a favor.

but at the same time, i think he debuts his recently improved jumper during summer league, shocking/impressing the world.

Like I said before this guy has been the consensus number 1 pick for 3 years for this years draft. He has nothing to prove he proved his worth in college, the hoop summit, on the team world team, at eybl, and when he led his HS team to the consensus #1 team in the nation

KAT last years number one pick wasnt as decorated or as highly recruites as Simmons so he did do a workout with the TWolves. Ben has nothing to prove. He has showed who he is and what he does.

This is a non story, he's not working out for any other teams either. Pretty sure this is just his team preventing him from hurting his stock by a potentially bad workout. It sucks but from his side there's no reason for him to do anything, he's a lock for top 2 and the favorite for #1.

Sixers are going to take him anyways. He's a terrible fit on that roster though. Sixers have no shooters and terrible spacing.

Simmons is a very intelligent young man but he seems like the type to take short cuts. I feel like Ingram is more humble and willing to grind for success.

The only way I'd pick Simmons first is if I trade Okafor for the #2 pick (ingram) and Clarkson.
