Unless the Knicks are involved in a 3 way that send Love to Boston for a lottery pick, NO WAY do I send Melo for Love. The Knicks need a playmaker, not a boring spot up shooter that has never been able to get his own team to the playoffs (Timberwolves)
Knicks getting Love would set us back 5 years. This would feel like the Knicks resigning Allan Houston.

If Lebron can't stand Love's defense, he'll really love Melo.
I think if you are Cleveland and you trade love, you get solid young pieces that are depth guys.
Melo sets you back when Kyrie can provide the scoring.

Agreed much rather have a jay Crowder type he would match up perfectly with guys like Green and give Cavs flexibility..give me Avery Bradley and crowder for Love and shump straight up and Cavs would be deadly.

Melo is even worse fit actually, no defense either. At least Love can rebound.

I don't see any reason why the Cavs would even want Melo...and it's basically pointless to add a guy who needs the ball in his hands to be effective when you already have Lebron and Kyrie.

I can't believe Melo lead this shitty Knicks team to a 2 seed only a few years ago.
The East is a massive joke.

It's not a bad fit or anything...and honestly it made sense back when we thought Lebron could consistently play the 3 on offense. Which he can, but I think Lebron at the 4 is where this thing is headed...
Because;
Kyrie
JR/Shump
Lebron
Melo
TT
That is a better lineup in my opinion than Love...especially against the Warriors because Melo could score in the post and do a better job defensively. However, now that we've seen Lebron's jumper go dark (maybe it comes back...who knows) and we've seen just how great Kyrie is. I don't think you need another high volume scorer on this team.
This team, if they trade Love, needs 3/D wing players that allow Kyrie/Lebron to flourish on offense...and take a bit of the load off on defense.
Adding Melo just doesn't boost the offense enough to warrant going with him over a couple rotation guys that can make 3's and improve the defense.

Because theres a chance that it actually will happen.
