Who wins in a best of 7 series? Team Kidd won 2 games against the 2003 Spurs in the NBA Finals.

Under what rules? That's why these matchups are almost impossible...the game has changed so much in such a short time. Is Kidd going to be allowed to be physical and bully Steph? Or is this going to be current rules where you can't play defense and steph can just blow by him?

Stop what? Asking questions? Maybe if you did more of that in school you wouldn't be such a ghetto dimwit.

I think we can win 2-3 games against this Warriors team, but with HCA the chance of clinching a series is unrealistic.

1. Stop insulting a REAL niguh which you are obviously not

2. It would be different if you ask a better question than that. You clearly have an agenda.

The more I think about it, this Nets team probably matches up better against the Warriors than the 2002 Lakers or the 2003 Spurs.

defensively they match up nicely. The problem is there's a good chance they don't even put up 80ppg in a series.

Agree. Especially when Kidd is the number one scoring option.

Draymound vs Martin would have been a sight to see.

The better question would be the old small ball phx suns with kidd,kj,chapman, rodney rogers ,googs or mcdyes. Would be a fun up and down game.

Kmart v. Draymond would be good a for a few technicals/fake tough man fights.

In all honesty though, we wouldn't be able to match up well with them. Though we'd be fine with the up and down pace and were generally good in transition defense, but I still don't think we'd match their firepower. In the periods where we'd trade buckets it'd just be a 2 for us, 3 for them. Also, we were terrible in the half court which gives them a huge edge. Our bench that year also wasn't very good that year. Maybe in '02 when we still had a rookie RJ come off the bench it would be better... but overall I think the Warriors crush us in 5 or 6.

Agree, the 02 team was much better IMHO. Both those Nets team didn't really have a go to/ dominate scorer, which actually proves how good they were as a TEAM.

Kmart would have dominated Green. Way too much to handle.

They fact you think it goes to 6 (coming from someone who knows what they are talking about) proves to me this isn't a rubbish thread.

I never knew the 03 Nets were suppose to be that good...a fast break team with no shooters and only 6 players.

That was prime, prime, prime time Kidd. But the fact of the matter was Kmart was crazy.

Comming out of Cinncy as the best college player of the draft. Undersized, raw, athletic and hungry. The thing is players coming out of college either get better, learn the professional game or the become busts and just fade out.

Kenyon Martin was the anomaly, he played like he was the number 1 draft prospect his whole career. While he gained experience, his game never changed. He was just a flat out ANIMAL but it worked for him and it worked for those Nets teams and god damn he was fun to watch.

I remember back in the day ESPN use to do this count and make it out like it was a competition of who had the most dunks in a season, Martin or Shaq. While they will never be regarded as one of the greatest teams of all time, I feel we will never see a team like that for a long time if ever.

I bandwagoned so hard in 2002 when the beat the Celtics, after the Celtic beat the Sixers.

Then they got Vince Carter and they were supposed to go all the way. Shit just never worked out.

That New Jersey Nets team would struggle to score in the half court but ultimately could win a game. That team only had one true sharp shooter and that was Kerry Kittles.

Pack the paint and dare them all to shoot 3's.

Kidd couldn't shoot and was basically dared to shoot like Bron now.

Kidd wouldn't defend Curry, He would check Barnes and Curry would be guarded by Kerry Kittles and Lucious Harris.

Scott would run plays to get Kerry Kittles constantly moving.

A younger Richard Jefferson would do a good job defensively on Klay. He's stronger and also smarter.

Rodney Rogers and Kenyon Martin would give Green fits inside physically.

Ultimately, Golden State doesn't face a star scorer with that team.

In all seriousness... the "rules" argument would apply to both teams. So Draymond and a healthy Bogut could be bruisers if need be.

Warriors in 5 max.

after examining statistics, simulators, and asking many experts, I have come to the conclusion that the Warriors will win in 4. This was a tough matchup to predict.
