View Full Version : Why couldn't Wade ever average 28 Ppg in the Finals with LeBron like Kyrie?

What's his excuse for 0 28ppg finals from 2010-2014?

Isn't he supposed to be a top 5 SG all-time?

Kyrie didn't even make the all-star game and he managed to do it :confusedshrug:

In fact, from 2012-2014 Wade only had 1 30 point game in the Finals

Weren't you one of the people who said Kyrie sucked?

Exactly, so doesn't that make Wade look even WORSE?

Just permaban this c@nt already. Jesus christ, you say you want to clean up your shit board, well ****ing do it already then. There isn't one other board member (regardless of who you stan) that wouldn't like to see this **** and all his alts gone forever. This board is literally being ruined by about 10 people with a bunch of alts.

Upcoming next level trolling; Wade made Heat the losing side in 2011.

From 2004-2011 LeBron had 0 30 point games in the Finals

Because lowkey lebron is realizing hes declining, so hes ok with pawning off the offensive load for once (and even lower key, lue is probably making him defer). Mia lebron was a different player than this current old man lebron

so thanks for bringing this to our attention, OP!

He isnt pawning off any load though, probably has to carry an even bigger burden, and Lue isn't making him defer anything :lol

2012-2014 Wade just wasn't that good in the finals... Im not sure who I'd rather want between '12 Wade and '15/'16 Irving, tbh.

Kyrie is certainly outperforming 2007 and 2011 Bran in the Finals.

Wade averaged 23/6/5/1.7/1.3 in the 2012 finals and played excellent defense. In fact he led the team in blocks. He battled some injuries that season but he was still a top 5 player.

2011 Wade was obviously better overall player than Irving.

I'd probably give the edge to Irving over Wade in the 2013 finals. Wade did average 24/6/5/2/2 on 48% in games 4-7, and even at less than 100% he was a vastly superior defender.

Irving clearly has the edge over Wade in the 2014 finals.

Wade couldn't average 28 ppg during the finals between 2012-2014 for a few reasons.

1. LeBron was the number one option the whole time and he and wade were both ball dominant players who didn't get most of their points from taking jumpers. LeBron was actually a 40-something percent shooter from midrange during this era and at least a 36% threepoint shooter as well, so he was able to get more points anyway.

2. Wade's knees were always pretty much down by the time the finals rolled around every year. For a player who relies so much on slashing, that was a damning blow.

3. Kyrie is simply a more complete scorer than wade ever was, even though he's never averaged more than 22.5 ppg. Kyrie is absolutely devastating shooter from the midrange, and he's also an elite three-point shooter that can shoot off the dribble better than anyone not named Curry. Kyrie is shooting 49% on pullup jumpers in the playoffs, and 47% with people within 2-4 feet of him. He also has Dwade/Kobe footwork and an elite first step and awesome body control. Wade only had slashing, an occasional jumper and knees that came and went.

As great as DWade was, after 2011 I never got the feeling that he was going to truly take the scoring load off LeBron. Their playing styles were too similar, and Dwade just couldn't shoot. Really, at anytime between 2014 and now, I'd rely on Irving a good deal more as a scorer. Just more complete and at this point, more consistently quick/explosive.

Wade was a better all around player than Irving in 2012, that's for sure, but he could not torch a team like the warriors for over 30 points in 3 straight games.
