his game tonight recorded a 42.5 gmsc which surpassed duncan's 40.8 back in 03. his last game is also on the list which is now 3rd. if he wins this series, knowing the context, this will be the best finals performance in nba history. undisputed goat if it happens.

Ezeli wasn't even rotating, players were getting clear paths to the rim and he literally looked like Speights out there

Barnes was a bigger choke though, 0/8 and over half of his shots were open gym status...then on top of that he didnt even bring it on defense...what a piece of shit

I'm not a Cavs fan.. nothing like it, but seeing LeBron winning it for Cleveland after all the shit thats happened would be incredibly epic. Not to mention potentially coming back from 1-3 with 2 of his best finals games of his career against a 73 win team.. can it honestly be written better than that for him and Cleveland?

Warriors winning it is just flat out boring, and would honestly just kill the fun of the NBA. Just my opinion, and I dont expect everyone to agree, but I dont like watching a team chucking out crazy threes to win championships. Underdogs and teams who actually go through adversities are easy to root for.

So go LeBron and go Cavs. Never rooted for a team this hard other than my Mavs.

Watching Bron absolutely DOMINATE tonight, I had to question why I'm actually hating on this dude, greatness is greatness. Who was I kidding, nothing I can say or do would bring this man down.

Harrison Barnes has an easy task of having to guard one of the greatest players in NBA history. Of course he's gomnna struggle playing against Lebron. If the Warriors played against the Houston Rockets instead of the Cleveland Cavs, he woulda had a string of great games. Barnes always kill the Rockets in the clutch.

People hate him because of bitch ways that he formed two superteams, his character, how he treats other people. LeBron is quite clearly the trump of the NBA

I agree with you on a lot of points.

I would hate seeing a team as good as GSW lose though. So good the entire season and now had injuries really bite them in the ass. But Curry is my favourite player in the league at the moment, so hard to root against, but Bron is a former Heat player that I like now too.

Lots of things to root for from both sides as an impartial fan. I think it'd definitely be more epic if Bron and the Cavs pull it off. The only problem is people would shit on Curry and act like he is overrated, when he really isn't.

But to completely disregard the game he had is ridiculous

The dude had a 41/8/11/4/3 game. People are trying to down play this?! It was arguably the greatest finals game

2) pull-up jumper via triple-threat, midrange (5:46)
3) coast-to-coast layup (6:03)

LEBRON - Game 6 of 2016 Finals

CONTESTED SHOTS (9)

1) pull-up 3-pointer isolation, live dribble (2:37)
2) transition drive to rim (3:02)
3) catch-and-go drive to rim (4:00)

5) cut to rim for dunk (3:43)
6) transition alley-oop (4:09)
7) receives pass for open layup (6:08)

Key differences in the defense:

The OP shows that Lebron took less contested shots (where a defender left their feet to contest), and more UNcontested shots (where no defenders leave their feet).. Don't be surprised that more of Lebron's shots were uncontested - today's offenses keep 3-4 players standing behind the 3-point line on every play (spacing), so the defense is stretched out and can't make timely rotations most of the time.

Otoh, teams in previous eras didn't use 3-pointers to space out defenders, so defenders were bunched up together and only needed to take a couple steps to provide help - this makes it look like defenders are standing around, but how much do the Celtics defenders in the gif below NEED to move in the gif below??... With no 3-point shooting to spread them out, standing around is all they need to do.. Today's defenders would play the SAME WAY if there was no 3-point shooting:

From an all-around standpoint and significance factor its definitely up there.

It's bold so say #1 of course, with Jordan in 1993 and Elgin Baylor being the clear favorites. But top 5? You could certainly make a reasonable case.

Did everything at an elite level. Made jumpers, cut to the basket, attacked the rim, rebounded, passed wonderfully, wreaked havoc on defense. All-around amazingly well-played game.
