I want to believe that the league is not rigged but sometimes its hard not to feel like it is.

Remember back when the NBA was struggling after Jordan had retired his second time? It definitely felt like the league was rigging games in favor of the Lakers right? That Blazers vs Lakers game 7 or even that Kings vs Lakers game 7 come to mind when talking about the Lakers and rigged games.

Anyways, this whole Draymond situation really exposes how the NBA can manipulate a series. The fact that he wasn't suspended against OKC felt like it was a decision made to prevent a short series from happening. Then against the Cavs he gets suspended after his team goes up 3-1. This also felt like it was a decision made to prevent a short series from happening.

Then there were the calls made in game 6 against the Warriors in the 4th quarter. Calls that pretty much prevented any Warriors momentum.

The truth is that Disney is really struggling with ESPN right now. If the Finals would have ended after game 5 then ESPN gets stuck covering boring sh!t like Copa America, the Euro Cup, mid-season baseball, and the WNBA. We'd be naive not to think that the NBA could be hooking up Disney on this one.

The series would not be as exciting without it. Too many blowouts sweeps etc. Keeping games close. Its like watching wwe. They really need to up the false rivalries though to add to the drama though. Perhaps they could gain more control by implementing more rules giving refs extra control.

If it's rigged then it's only rigged in favor of Golden State. The Spurs and Thunder series both had moments where one could argue the Warriors got unfair advantages.
