Durant will sign a two year deal, the opt out next year when the salary cap jumps again and he's a 10 year veteran, would be stupid not to.

Not sure if LeBron will also do another 2 year deal, or if he'll just go straight for the biggest deal in league history. Either way he's getting paid bigtime, much to noone's surprise.

What will be more interesting is just how much lesser players will get overpaid. Al Horford for example could easily get 150M, and that won't even be the worst deal of the summer.

Would it be a crazy idea to have people working 9-5 jobs in the team organizations to get paid a bit more instead of giving millionaires even more millions of dollars?

the teams and players share revenue. in their there would be more money to pay staff too, but of course the owners will probably keep the profits instead. it's not like the players are giving their maids, drivers, etc more money from the deal either though.

so now a team that is on the edge of the cap can sign a superstar level player, or two all-stars.

It's just ridiculous.... at what point do they have enough money?
