Bron and Tim Duncan are two guys who it's really unbelievable have never won it, but to be fair in LeBron's regular season peak defensive years in Miami, he took plays off to conserve energy and didn't bring it every single game at that historic intensity. I know his defensive metrics were still elite and all, but it was obvious.

I think you could've justified giving it to him the year he finished 2nd to Marc, but much like the fact that he will retire with only the 4 MVPs, LeBron knows the window of consistent RS effort has long past for him, and he has to come to terms with the fact that DPOY is one award that he'll never get.

As big a true-blue Bransvestite as I am, it sometimes surprises me that he seems to take such offense to not getting certain regular season awards with how often he coasts at 80% for most of the year. He should know damn well that that's part of why he didn't get the MVP this year, etc.

He missed though

And letting Wesley Johnson shoot is the best possible move. His IQ is higher than anyone in NBA history.

He's never been a top 10 defender in a season

Best defender in the Finals so far.:applause:

If LBJ put in a season's worth of actual effort on defense, he could be DPOY. But he just doesn't

He can be a great defender when he focuses, that's exactly the same thing as was with Kobe, for smalls stretches, both of those guys become animals on defense.
He was the worst defender in the finals last year, so it's really good to see him be much better this year

Letting a guy take an open jump shot is serious defense now? You branvestites are always high AF. :oldlol:
