View Full Version : Is 73-9 the biggest joke in NBA right now?

73 wins, no title, what a season. I really think GSW should blow it up and rebuild, if they cant win this year, their chances are only getting even slimmer in future.

It was pathetic that this team was compared to the 96' Bulls. :lol

The 96' Bulls would never allow an opponents to push them to game 7, and thus were never seriously threatened at all. Speaking of true domination.

I think its even worse. Superbowl is only one game, and its much harder for the superior team to win it all in single elimination games than in a 7 games series.

Not only that, the Warriors lost Games 5 and 6 by double digits. They showed no killer instinct.

Hey 97! How have you been? I am glad to see the Bulls' legacy preserved without any doubt today.

I'm happy History will remember what an overrated joke the Warriors were this year. OKC should've been the one in the record book, but they are too inept and retarded for their own good.

If they had won and 10-15 years from now I'm trying to explain to some kid about how badly they failed the eye test despite their inflated record, he could've just retorted with 'buh they won the 'ship doe'.

No sir. Thank you, based Cleveland. :applause:

But they didn't. In the finals. Which mean 10000x more. So when you look at the 2015-2016 season as a whole, sure they won 73... but they choked the big one away :(

Not really.

You can get lucky and win and still be the worse team. Shit, 07 is a perfect example of that. If those two teams played 100 times, the Patriots win 90 of them.

If you beat a team in a 7 game series, you are the better team. You can win one game with luck, but it's unlikely that you'll win four.

Bro don't even get me started. I'm tracking down everyone that insisted this team was BETTER than that 96 Bulls team.

And THEN you had people talking about Curry being better than Jordan!

Mass hallucinations now can die down and people can see how overrated this team was. They had their chance to prove last year wasn't a fluke and you know what? They blew it.

Steph didn't even get last years finals MVP and then he damn near vanished this finals as well. Draymond came to play though

'98 Bulls almost closed out the finals in 5 games (game 5 was decided by just two points and a missed 3 pointer for the win from MJ).

I'd like to get a hold of the clowns that claim the league today is better due to three point shooting

Well they would've closed out in 5 for sure if the NBA Finals were following the same 2-2-1-1-1 format as today's NBA. The old 2-3-2 format favored the inferior teams, and game 5 was a road game for MJ's Bulls.

Shouldn't have chased the record. It was completely unnecessary and gave them little rest.

Don't think it would have mattered though.

Regular season is just beating a mix bag of team some good some bad. The championship is about beating four teams that matter

The 96' Bulls went 3-0, 4-1, 4-0, 4-2 in the playoffs.
The 16' Warriors went: 4-1, 4-1, 4-3, 3-4 in the playoffs.

No comparison. :pimp:

Sad thing is, his impact/play in the Finals doesn't even really come close to his 23-5-4 raw stat-line. I mean, yeah, at first glance 23-5-4, even on 40% shooting, doesn't look awful, but those numbers make him sound better than he was in the series.

Been saying this the whole Finals. His impact wasn't there and it's why he lost FMVP last year.

His defense is horrible, he was the weak link. And he has been guarded by Thompson and still couldnt do a thing. :facepalm

Exactly, throughout the series he couldn't get past the bigs, he looked lost out there, he didn't help the team in terms of making runs and impacting the game, and his defense was atrocious too.

They are worse than the 18-1 Patriots because they lost 3 straight games, 2 at home. That means Cleveland deserved the title and was the better team in the series. That was a historic choke and comeback.
