It's significantly harder to argue he's out of the top-5, than that he's top-5. Since MJ retired, only Duncan has a case, and I think Lebron's peak edges him, though it's close.

Russell (I don't necessarily agree, but 11 titles is still something);
Lebron/Magic/Duncan;
Magic/Lebron/Duncan;
Duncan/Magic/Lebron

Lebron will be number three all-time at the end barring injuries and has an outside chance at #2. I think LBJ might be the best all around player ever, but MJ is still the greatest playoff performer/scorer/winner I've ever seen, and Lebron is a shade below, unfortunately.

Well said! I think u could AT LEAST argue Bron as top 5 GOAT. For starters, he has the combo of 4 MVPs AND three rings. Only Russ, Kareem, and MJ have done the same. From there, Bron is the most versatile player of all time as well. And THE KEY could be the career numbers Bron could end up with. We are talking at least 30,000 points and possibly even 10,000 assists.
