View Full Version : I have to give LeBron James credit

Anyone who has read my posts will know that I have always criticized LeBron James ever since 2010 when he decided to win a championship the easy way and join the Miami Heat and Wade and Bosh and form a super team. I couldn't stand that Heat team. I was so glad when the Mavericks beat them in 2011 and the Spurs beat them in 2014. I gained some respect for LeBron in 2014 when he left Miami to return to Cleveland. But even last season I still wanted LeBron to lose in the finals against the Warriors.

The Cavaliers had an easy way to the finals this season. Who did they beat in the east that was that tough? They avoided their only real challenge which would have been a healthy Heat team if they had Chris Bosh. Then going into this series against the Warriors I looked at LeBron as the underdog actually and that there was no way the Cavaliers were going to beat the Warriors especially after the Warriors were able to come back from being down 3-1 against the Thunder and made that epic comeback and won that series. I thought the Warriors were the champions for sure after that.

After game 4 of this series when the Warriors went up 3-1 I thought it was over. And then LeBron stepped up big time. And the rest of the series LeBron just played amazing basketball. I found myself tonight actually hoping the Cavaliers would win. I really didn't care who won at the start of this series because I wasn't a LeBron fan and as a Bulls fan I didn't want the Warriors to beat the Bulls regular season record and win a championship on top of it because then you would have fans who didn't grow up watching that Bulls team saying the Warriors are the better team for sure. But it wasn't even really that I wanted the Warriors to lose but I wanted to see LeBron bring a championship to Cleveland and win a championship on his own without being on a super team with Bosh and Wade.

LeBron has earned my respect after this finals. This was the biggest win of his career tonight

Just not very much

GS's 3 best players were injured, GS's 2nd best player got unfairly suspended

These factors mitigate LeBron's credit

Any real fan of Basketball has to recognize Lebron now. He has elevated himself beyond rivalries. It has to be acknowledged. Dude is great.

It's cool man. You can stay hating on Lebron. Really.

If every Lebron hater gave up their hate for him like the OP just did, next season would be pretty boring. We can't have everybody on the same side, and we will need people like you to root for the opposing teams.

Stop :oldlol:

What were you saying last year when Cavs didnt have Love and Irving ALL series and LeBrons 2nd best player (Delladova) was a guy who didnt play at all this series?

Bogut was a very minor loss, Steph is healthy, Iggy is healthy. If they're out there, then no excuses. Draymond suspension dont mean shit. Game 6 and 7 is proof of that.

Bogut was a very minor loss?

Iguodala was healthy when he was holding his back and couldn't move and was -25 off/on?

Draymond Green (the guy who put up a 30 point triple double on 90% TS) being suspended doesn't mean shit?

Can't deny his greatness after this one. Yeah, he can be a douche, but he brought Cleveland everything he ever said he would.

What did LeBron do honestly?

Beat the Craptors?

Get his ass kicked by a depleted Warrior team until he made a huge deal about Dray calling him a bitch and wouldn't stop until he got Silver to suspend Draymond?

Fail to score 30 points in game 7 as he played hot potato and let Kyrie close out the game?

This wasn't an impressive performance, any objective basketball fan can see it clear as day

Kyrie was 2 for 6 in the fourth quarter today for 5 points.
Lebron was 3 for 8 with 11 points.

Anyway, since it's hard for you to be objective, even when you are apparently trying and think you are succeeding, I would like you to introduce you to a concept: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias

And a similar concept in poker called "tilt". Basically, it means that some things are just so emotional for you that you can't even be unbiased WITH YOURSELF about it. So, the $10,000 pot messes with your emotions so much that it leads you into thinking that you have a better hand than you actually do, despite the fact that you think you are actually making the best judgement possible.

But anyway, like i said, keep it coming. Lebron needs to have a few haters for next year.

no you are a huge nerd

you are copy pasting random shit from wikipedia and giving box scores

that isnt how the game happened

lebron got some meaningless padded points and free throws

kyrie was the guy icing it down the stretch

watch the game, stop reading boxscores and wikipedia

6-19-2016 will be the happiest day of my life. All the money I make will never make me that happy.

Bran took down a 73 win team. Man oh man I waited 35 years for that moment.
