Kobe Fam.
Just like throughout his legendary 20-year career, we hold W's tonight.
Let me count the ways...
1. Kobe goes out with the Greatest Farewell Performance in ANY SPORT EVER with a historic/record-setting 60 that overshadowed the 73 win Warriors. Warriors lost, so Kobe’s 60 Finale is the 2nd biggest moment/story in the 2016 NBA season behind Cleveland winning the chip. Not even his era and dude is still authoring some of the greatest moments in NBA history in another man's era.
2. Kobe’s performance sprinkled magic fairydustbe over the Lakers franchise which has them up-trending ever since (Kobe’s legendary farewell, fired Byron, hired Luke, got the #2 pick. Gave the Lakers his last gift to us with all the top picks last few years to secure our bright future.)
3. Kobe’s 6/24 in Game 7 of 2010 Finals criticism plus “Gasol and Artest BAILED Kobe out” chatter DIES 4 LIFE. LeBron 9/24, (37.5% FG), 5 Turnovers, mediocre 4th quarter, lowest +/- of the Big 3 in Game 7. Kyrie hits one of the CRAZIEST shots in NBA Finals history to win the game and sets up LeBron for the game-sealing FTs (which of course he missed 1). Love: 9 and 14 REBs, team-high +/- with +19
4. Kyrie > Gasol. Kyrie’s playoffs and Finals SHITS all over anything Gasol ever did. Six 30-Point Games (lead Cavs) 41 on 70% in Game 5 (one of the greatest performances in NBA Finals History), 26 and the biggest shot in Cleveland sports history in Game 7.
5. 73-win Warriors become a joke compared to other GOAT teams. 2001 Lakers (15-1 playoff run) and 96 72-win Bulls remain on top.
WE STAY...
(wait for it. waaaait foooor iiiiiit........)
WINNING!!
