View Full Version : Is Kyrie's finals performance this year better than Curry's 2015 performance?

Both won a championship with solid scoring, but weren't dominant enough to get FMVP for their runs. Which would you take? Only counting finals performance, not RS/playoffs.

Curry's 2015 finals is really underrated. He was crazy good in the clutch and that year his gravity was apparent not like this year where really he was kinda being carried at times and looked scarred of the moment. He was the reason Iggy was open so much and could win FMVP(along with his defense obviously)

he was significantly more efficient and had one big game after another

lol, the Warriors went to OT and lost against a Cavs team that had no Irving/Love in Game 2 with Lebron going cold in the 2nd half last year

Curry's 5/23 6 TO performance last year is worse than anything Curry's done in the Finals

and Curry's 41 or his Game 7 winning shot is better than Steph's best Finals performance.

All I know is that Kyrie's performance was more than good enough to win FMVP, only Lebron isn't even human so he kind of got screwed

Iggy was the mvp last year.

Imagine what LeBron would do if Kyrie Irving saw the same defensive attention as Steph Curry... :lol

Irving hit the game-winner in Curry's face in a 1 vs 1 situation

Curry couldn't score with Kevin Love defending him 1 on 1 , made him dribble the air out of the ball and chuck a terrible, off-rhythm shot. :oldlol:

Drop 50?

He's guarded by Kyrie most of the time.

That was hilarious. He got shut down on the perimeter 1 on 1 by a PF that is not known for defense.

Yep, Kyrie demolished Cuck Curry. Cuck Curry just isn't a finals performer and it's time his fans realized that.

Kyrie might have had the best 'Robin' finals ever. Came up with big defensive plays, hit the series clinching shot. Respects.

How is this even a question. Curry was going up against dellavedova and a depleted team. Kyrie went up against an all time great team and hit the game winner in the deciding game

It's not even a question.

Kyrie played a Finals MVP worthy series without question. If LeBron hadn't morphed into a combination of Magic Johnson (scoring/playmaking) and Ben Wallace (controlling the paint and rebounding like a maniac), that was great enough to be Kyrie Irving, Finals MVP.

He was quite clearly the second best player in the series and the Cavs would have never gotten out of Game 5 without his brilliance. Hell, he's the one who broke the game open in Game 3 when the Cavs were down 0-2 and looking very bleak.

This wasn't just LeBron willing the Cavs to a title. He did that at times, but Kyrie was almost as important. He also played incredible defense in the last 5 games.

Curry is an excellent player, but Kyrie just had a Finals performance that would have been MVP level in almost any other series for the winning team. I thought it was appropriate that Kyrie hit what was essentially the game-winning shot after shaking Curry and raising up over him. He outplayed him all series long and Kyrie is just cold-blooded. I thought the stage got a little hot for everyone on the floor last night, including LeBron at times (definitely Curry and Thompson).

There is no stage too big for Kyrie. The more pressure packed it gets, the better he plays.
