Yep, one more chip puts him alone at 2nd all time in FMVPs. Not a bad feather to have in your cap. Not gonna turn 32 till midway through next year, 5 rings/5 FMVPs seems very attainable now with the state of the east, but I'm sure GS will have a lot to say about that. This puts LeBron in a great position to have his accolades by the end of his career actually match up with the player that he is, which is great to see because he deserves to be remembered for being as ATG as he is.

Bill Russell won 10 championships before they gave this award out. So he should be on the list close to the top.

He had some monster game 7s too including an even more impressive chase-down block than Lebron's, see #2 below. He went 10 for 10 in game 7s.

Los Angeles at Boston, April 18, 1962
Playing all 53 minutes (including overtime), he logged 30 points and grabbed 44 rebounds.

2. St. Louis at Boston, April 13 1957
The Hawks were ahead by a point in regulation with under a minute left. Jack Coleman drove in for a layup that would have upped the lead to three. But Russell chased him down from behind and blocked his shot. Years later Tommy Heinsohn said it was "the greatest play I never saw in basketball. That sumbitch went by me like I was standing still, and I was near midcourt. He was the fastest man on the team."

19 points and 32 rebounds.

3. St. Louis at Boston, April 9, 1960
22 points and 35 rebounds.

4. Los Angeles at Boston, April 28 1966
Russell added 25 points and 32 rebounds

5. Syracuse at Boston, April 1, 1959
Russell played every minute until fouling out with less than two minutes left. He scored 18 points and had 32 rebounds,

Russell would have probably been the all time leader in FMVP if they gave out the award back then, so he should honestly be included in this group

That's a great team - fills every position too.

This thread brings back how important that Ray Allen 3 was. Lebron would have 1 less ring/FMVP and Duncan would have had another FMVP (and possibly another ring) which would put him between the rest on this list and Jordan's 6 FMVPs.
