Yeah, because Kobe isnt a top 10 all time player. Hes ranked at 12th according to ESPN, 12th again according to Sports Illustrated and 13th for RealGM all-time ranking.

One media/source's opinion may be biased or controversial, for instance Sports Illustrated had Shaq at 15th(while both ESPN and RealGM had Shaq in top 10). But if three of them all had Kobe at 12-13th all time, it should be enough evidence that, this is where Kobe truly belongs.

Also Kobe's ranking is surprisingly consistent among these three sources. This is no coincidence, which further implies that its commonly agreed that Kobe should be around 12-13th.

You realize those 30 win teams belong to seasons in which the nba had 23 teams right? That means playing the teams in your conference 6 times. The schedule now is 4 vs the same division opponent, and 3 vs a different division opponent.

The last 30 win playoff team, the spurs had to face the showtime lakers 6 times,The mavericks 6 times , the Sonics 6 times, The Suns 6 times, etc...

So it is actually the other way around, tougher competition.
