Let's not forget the Mamba tried forcing a trade to Chicago, only rescinding his demands when he found out just how little he would have to work with on the Bulls after this hypothetical trade went down. :lol So let's not act like he's cut from some totally different cloth here. He wanted to win as bad as anyone even if it meant leaving the purple and gold. To be fair though, he had been on a mediocre team for a couple years by that point. The trade demand was a power play to get front office to change their basketball strategy. It paid off they got Gasol. Kobe doesn't demand the trade? They don't go for Gasol. But you knew that already.
