2012 Wade had one terrible playoff game, game 3 against Indiana when he had his knee drained. Aside from that game he averaged 24/5/5/1.8/1.3 on 48%. He was also a SIGNIFICANTLY better defender than Irving. I don't understand why he gets so underrated that season. He had the 3rd best PER in the league and his defense imo was better than 2011.

2012 Wade is at least equal to 2016 Irving. Irving scored slightly more, but Wade was as good or better at everyting else. I also don't think you are considering the defensive gap, which is enormous.

I think you also have to compare who the respective teams/players had to face and how things turned out. I don't see how you can put Wade in 2011 above Kyrie this year, because not only did they lose in The Finals, they lost to a team that not many people even expected to make it out of the first round.
I know we are talking individual performances here and LeBron no-showed that series in a major way, but the LeBron/Kyrie combination just gave the Warriors at Oracle the same number of losses in one week as they had there all year.
They beat a 73-win team 4 out of 7 times. The 2011 Heat lost to the Mavs in 6.
And, I by no means would underrate Dwyane Wade. He's among the very best guards I've ever seen in the league and Kyrie, though seemingly growing with every playoff series, isn't quite on that level yet ... but the Heat only played one opponent -- in my estimation -- that resembled the foe the Cavs had in front of them in these playoffs... that was the 2014 Spurs and we all know how that ended.
Winning matters quite a lot. Yes, LeBron was clearly a monster as compared to his meek 2011 exit. But, Kyrie seems to thrive in pressure situations and the Cavs aren't even in a position to win a title without his heroics... and then he hits what is essentially the game-winner.
Tough call.

Well, there's your answer, isn't it? LeBron James just did not show up in the 2011 Finals. If he were to perform like that in the 2016 Finals, then the Cavs would lose and you wouldn't bring up the fact that 2011 Wade lost. Remember, that was the year that LeBron James had 8 points and was 3-11 in one game in the finals. Possibly his worst game in his entire NBA career. And guess what? The Mavs only won by 3 points.
It's most definitely his worst series of all time, and probably worst series out of any superstar in NBA history. So, to say that just because they did not win the ring is the reason why you couldn't put Wade over Kyrie, LeBron is the reason why.
You can say this argument to say that Wade isn't as good as ppl think he is because he couldn't carry them like LeBron James in 2012-2013 or guys like MJ, Shaq or Bird. But you can't say just because Kyrie won a ring shooting big shots when LeBron James is averaging 30/11/9 in comparison to 18/7/7. You can just swing it right back and say Kyrie had better help. Would Kyrie even won a title if LeBron was averaging those number? Of course not. The Warrior series would be over in 5 games.
Also, Dirk was much more clutch than Curry was in the finals. There were moments where the games were close. Curry couldn't pull through, but you can be sure Dirk 2011 would. 2011 Wade played very well in the Finals, but also failed a couple times in the clutch. It was a different situation. But 2011 Wade still performed both offensively and defensively better than Kyrie not only in the playoffs, but the whole season.

I agree with a lot of this..hell, most of this.
I just think Wade being a defense monster...like one of the best defenders in the league while also being an elite offensive force as well separates him from Kyrie a little here.
