In no order...

1. Ewing hobbling and injured but still go off against Bulls in 1992 playoffs.

2. Ewing tip in dunk to win vs pacers game 7 in 94 east finals. Celebrating as he puts his hands in the air to the crowd.

3. Ewing dunking on Zo in 1997 semis round playoffs

4. Ewing hobbled and injured but still manage to score over 20 points vs heat. It was game 5 of 99 east 1st round, knicks were also number 8 seed.

5. Ewing hits step back 3 point shot to eliminate celtics in 1990.

Hm: Ewing steals ball and runs full court to jumps and dunk over Rodman in 1997 regulaar season game. He had hus nuts on his head and everything lol

What's yours ISH?

One of his best moments was Game 5 of the 94 Finals. I believe he finally outplayed Hakeem and he had a ridiculous emphatic block at the end of the half.

He routinely used to make Zo his b, unfortunately he stepped off the bench one of them years against the Heat when Knicks went up 3-1 and got suspended a game. What a joke that shit was. There is stepping off the bench to escalate a fight and then there was oops I got off the bench to calm things down moment.

Yea that was a great time in 94, too bad starks had to mess it up to next two games. Yeah that suspension was bullshit knowing the heat was an easier task for mj's bulls.

Please respect the legend Ewing thread. One of the best centers ever to never win a ring.

He had that great game 7 in the 94' ECF. That putback dunk on Starks's miss was huge.

Starks messed up game 7, not game 6. Starks was great in game 6.

Why is Starks scapegoated so much for Ewing's absolutely dreadful offense in the finals?

You're right. Patrick Ewing shouldn't ever be mentioned in the same breath as King Kong James.

Hold your L proudly, little bitch.

The 5th game of the 99' 1st Rd between New York and Miami, the Allan Houston shot, was a good one to watch just to see Ewing put up a productive game against a young Zo despite his visibly bad knees. Ewing was grimacing so much, it was obvious he was in pain, but he still put up a productive game, and they needed every one of those points

He did good game 6 but the end of the game he messed up.

That was just a great block by Hakeem. It was brilliant the way he got back in position, after almost slipping, to block Starks's shot. The way Starks was playing that quarter, I'm sure every Rocket fan was nervous when they saw he was about to shoot that 3.

Starks had a better offensive series in the 1994 Finals than the franchise player Ewing, yet Starks gets scapegoated.

Definitely. Just go back 20 years. Hakeem and Robinson in their primes (or tail end of it), Ewing a little past his prime (he peaked fairly early because of his knee issues) but still putting up 22-24 PPG with at least 10 PPG, Shaq and Zo' about to enter their primes. Shaq was already putting up 29 and 13 a game by his 2nd season.

The game is so much different now. Two of those center then who wouldn't even make all-NBA 3rd team were better than any center of the past few years

When 'ol leadfoot had that open 6 foot floater to win it all and you could actually watch him choke as he pulled back on the shot and shorted it.

That Pippin dunk

When Ed Pinckney took him out in the National Championship game.

His legendary strip club endeavors.

That time a poster on ISH thought he could rescind his promise to leave by talking about The Great Disappointment that was Patrick Chewing

And LOL at all the "would be greatest C today" nonsense.

Centers today have to play in space. I'd pay money to watch Ewing switch on Curry and get shaken. The humiliation would be enormous.

Robinson and to a lesser extent Dream would be GODS in today's game. They moved with grace and quickness. But Ewing? Not a chance. Your think he pissed off the mob the way his feet moved like they were dipped in cement.

Ewing was a very good help defender. He would have his issues, particularly the mid to late 90s version with the 80 year old knees, defending on pick-and-rolls with quicker perimeter players, but he'd also excel in other areas.

Hakeem and D-Rob were athletic freaks and would be awesome in any era. Even more amazing was that Olajuwon started basketball at age 15. Robinson could walk the length of the court....on his hands.
