LeBron's run through the East was easily better in 2012, but this was the best Finals of his career

At this point it's a waste to try to hold any of the stupid things he says or does off the court over his head. This was his best run, and this legitimized him as an all-time tier 1 great.

This

He only really got tested against Toronto, but even then he only really exerted himself in game 6

They both have context in their favor as alltime great runs... Miami with the injuries and coming back after being down in 3 different series... Cleveland coming back 3-1 against a 73-9 colossus and winning on the road in G7

In terms of sheer dominance, probably 2012 to be honest since Lebron was pretty subpar in game 1, 2 and 4 of the 2016 Finals.

But when you look at the big picture, his 2016 run has so much historic significance.

- First championship for Cleveland
- First team to come back from 3-1 deficit in the finals
- Only team ever to defeat a 70+ win team in the Finals
- Led both teams in all 5 statistical categories

People will look back at 2016 as his best run ever. Not to mention his game 5 + game 6 heroics and almost averaging a 30 point triple double.
